Works good
Made better than the one I got at our hardware store

good bits
I gave only four stars because when I opened the box there were only 11 bits, not the twelve promised

Sharp countersink bit
This is a tapered bit with a countersink at the end of it. The drill bit really grabs onto the wood and pulls the bit down into the whole easily. Be careful though, I did find myself drilling too deep the first couple of times just because of the ease of it. I am impressed with this set and will be purchasing another in other sizes.

Sturdy and very nice quality
Having a small family farm we tend to build a bunch of our own things and more often than not that requires (or at least makes a TON easier) pre-drill/countersink bits. So we generally go through quite a bit of them. As generally if they bend just the slightest they snap. It doesn’t matter how careful you are, it eventually happens to every bit. So when these came up to try I knew it would come in handy.- So they came in a very nice keeper case. Although I do have to say that while it keeps them in there nice and tight it was a pain in the behind to get one out to use.- They are very sharp as opposed to a bunch of the others we have tried. Which helps them bite into the wood nicely.- The depth collar was a nice addition for consistent depth.- The first time you loosen the set screws they are so tight you feel you may bend the allen wrench but they do loosen to adjust very smoothly.- The treads in the bits are of a space that most dust will fall out in drilling. With softer or sappy wood you may need to manually clean them, which we keep a small nylon brush around for. Half the time we don’t stick with any of the same types of wood whatever we happen to come across for a project. So far these are of great quality and have made the rounds of a few types of wood with the same perfect results. For what you get with this set and the quality this is a really good deal if you find you need a bunch of these.

Excellent countersinks; Storage and marking could use some work
The five stars are for the bits/countersinks themselves. They are sharp and the four-fluted design makes a really nice depression without any fuzz or tear out. I drilled maple and oak and found them excellent performers. The downside is that these are sold in a set so that you can supposedly keep several (up to six) bits of the same size but different depths handy at all times. Yet the storage box they come in accepts bits in only one length. If you try to store a different depth, the bit won't fit into the storage depression. The only alternative is to remove the plastic separator and throw all 12 bits into the container without protection from each other. My other quibble is that the bits are identified only by diameter size, not by the screw size they fit. e.g., the 9/64" bit is for a #6 screw; the 11/64" is for a #8 screw. Unless you can memorize and remember the bit size for each screw you're stuck trying to find the proper bit to fit the screw. This could easily be remedied in manufacture by stamping the screw size on either the bit or the countersink head. See photo to see what I did to quickly identify by screw size. Otherwise, a nice set.

Decent counter sinks, not for precision work
First off, you get A LOT of bits. 6 of each size. I'm not using these under extreme circumstances, and they feel perfectly sturdy and seem sharp enough, so this feels like a lifetime supply for me. I see others mentioning them breaking, and perhaps if you're chucking them into a drill press and doing lot of repeated cuts, that might be the case. I find the collar moves very easily up and down the bit which is nice compared to some other counter sinks I have where the tolerance is so tight its almost impossible to adjust the collar. That said, I do find that a lot of sawdust/build-up collects at the counter sink with no real good way to get it out but to remove it. That's a pain. Also, the bits are very long, probably much longer than necessary, so if you only need to drill short holes and still use the countersink, you need to move the collar up. This causes another problem because since the bit is tapered, in shortening the depth, you make the gap between the collar and bit wider so even more debris accumulates there. It also comes with an extra collar that is suppose to allow you to control the depth of the counter sink. I find the countersink collar itself to be sort of dull and I have to really apply pressure to get it to dig in in the first place, I don't think the extra collar is necessary. Again, this might be different if you're using a drill press. I am not. Overall, it's a good value but some decent bits. If you have to make many, many repeated holes, this is a great set for you.
