Camping Gaz TC2000 Compact Blowlamp with Gas

Just what I needed to fix a drip on a water pipe. Great heat from it and it was a good price

With a well known brand name one would expect good quality - and this does not disappoint. Have used it quite extensively and has never let me down.

I followed all the instructions on setting it up and igniting it, it worked perfectly for a short while but then I just couldn't get it going again, if it did light the slightest wobble put it out again! I'm sure it was just a faulty one, but pretty useless for my needs!!!! Ended up buying aRothenberger Torch which is amazing but £70+

Worked a treat 5 minutes on a stubborn nut and bolt on the car and voila, sorted.

Does exactly what you want from a gas blowlamp at a good price & quality. Little else to say. Works well.

I use it in the kitchen for searing meat and other heavy duty work where a creme brulee torch isn't up to the job. What I like about it is that it can be used with any screw-on canister (type EN417). Adjustment is not very sensitive so it's pretty much either full on or very low intensity. Flame is continuous and stable, so far it went off on its own only on one occasion. The standard burner gives a generic flame, good for steaks and roasts, and a fine burner for more precise work can be purchased separately (haven't bought this yet though). Good price too for what you get. Recommended.Update: It looses a star as it broke and needed replacement after just 5 uses! When it worked it performed well, plus I threw away the packaging so I ordered the same model as replacement.
