slow burn, worth it, but recommend waiting to watch them all at once.
Its fun watching this sad sack go about his daily grind. its been mostly slow as it always is. i enjoy this show, but too long since last episode. as slow as this show goes, its one of those shows where you better keep them coming because its just not interesting enough really to pull off a long wait. what are we waiting for now?was good to see the brother finally get his. would like to see him get some more. wonder what happens to the girl. shes not in any of walter white episodes... some kind of fall out must be coming.I dropped this one star. Last 2 episodes? What happened? Maybe last episode? I mean nothing happened. I get that we are all watching this because we just liked the characters from breaking bad, but you could turn this into a bad joke to see how far you could push it. the last episode, maybe the last couple, those episodes to me were a joke. Let's sit the main character down and literally have him sit in a chair and watch paint dry for an hour. 10 stars all the way!Overall really enjoyed this season. I liked watching Saul work over the guy in charge of trash pick up on behalf of a criminal. Maybe he's about to break some bad? The last episode with Kim, whats going on there? What happens with Kim. Don't think I remember her being on breaking bad so sooner or later she goes right? Sooner would be preferred here. Not sure how much more of that story line I want to see.Honestly though, there really was a lot to like about this series and THIS season. I am changing my mind and bumping it back up a star, back to 5! you've convinced me ;)But please, no more lame threads where Kim is trying to stay awake or chuckie poo. Did he die in the last episode ? cant remember may have fallen asleep on that one. If so, good riddance! geez enough is enough. kill that guy off already. how can these 2 brothers be such ultimate doosh bags to one another.

That ledge can get slippery
Oh, Jimmy--so THIS is how it happened! During Breaking Bad we got a taste of the sleazy/smart lawyer named Saul Goodman, who guided Walter White and his wife through many a dark and frightening passageway. Though he was nearly a caricature, he still came through as someone you wish they had spent more time exploring--but to do so would have gotten Breaking Bad off track. No, this was the right way to go--giving Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman his own story to follow. And what a story it is. In seasons One and Two we learned about his brother Chuck, the rivalry that spurs him to be Jimmy's gadfly at every turn, and the treachery he practices--and we learned that Jimmy is no stranger to the seamy side of the coin as well. His former life as a con-artist, his willingness to bend and break any rule that prevents him from getting over on the law and his brother--and sometimes, with all due respect to heroism, even those nasty corporate greed-mongers. We can't help but like Jimmy McGill--and somewhere in the sandstorms he creates, a small spark of hope that he really is that altruistic, idealistic elder-law-practicing good guy keeps you liking him and even cheering him on when he finally gets one over on his brother. But then the hammer falls. He's pushed himself too far out onto the ledge, and you just know what has to happen. The reckoning will come. This season you learn more about the background of the brothers, and you learn something that might have you, the viewer, teetering on the same ledge as Jimmy McGill, and you know you'll fall one way or the other. But in the meantime, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.Vince Gilligan has created one of the most human, complex and interesting characters ever seen in an hour-long television show, and you will not be able to see Saul Goodman as a caricature ever again. Instead, he will emerge as a fully-formed personality, flaws and all, unforgettable, unforgiveable, and unredeemed--but lovable all the same. This has turned out to be another masterpiece and it's well worth your time and effort. Just watch out for that slippery ledge.

Jimmy Continues His Descent to Saul Goodman
Several dramas have been so acclaimed since the turn of the century that many have talked of a new Golden Age of Television. In its first two seasons, "Better Call Saul" established itself as a series of similar caliber, and the third season was just as superb as its predecessors. This DVD set contains all ten episodes of Season Three that originally aired on AMC from April 2017 to June of that year.Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) continues his descent toward becoming Saul Goodman this season, and hears an early warning predicting a future reckoning one day. The relationship between Jimmy and his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) is still a central plot component—the differences between how Jimmy and Chuck reacted to their upbringing and early family situation come out further, and the season is not just a character study of Jimmy, but of Chuck to an extent, too. The parallel storyline with Mike (Jonathan Banks) and Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) continues as well. The show spawns characters so fascinating that I'd watch a spinoff centered around any one of several of them. While the story and writing make the show worthwhile in themselves, the cinematography and filming sequences are off the charts—Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould are geniuses in how they add to the dialogue and tell stories with unique camera angles and positions. As in the first two seasons, there are great scenes from the New Mexico outback. There are special features on this set describing the making of the show, commentary by producers, and a conversation between Odenkirk, Banks, and Rhea Seehorn. The season ends with a couple of big cliffhangers to the key plots, and fans have looked forward to the fourth season of "Better Call Saul" for more than a year—fortunately, that arrival is only days away.

Top!
