Worth it
Very good! Satisfied. Comparable to more expensive brands, obviously MUCH better than less costly rubber/neoprene versions. Comfortable. Warm. Waterproof. Roomy enough for thick socks or wide feet or spreading toes. Inside is soft and cushioned and molded for a foot arch, not completely flat. Sturdy upper with no visible separation of seams. Pretty sure the top shoe seams have been melted together. I like that there aren’t many pull on handles. Neoprene is lower shin height, loose with bit of room left for a large sized calf. Shins don’t sweat. Used for a few hours with a hose and flooding water. Socks stayed warm and dry. Bottom tread is heavy duty, extra grippy, no slips or loss of functionality. Didn’t think about my feet or gate once while working. Very happy. Will update in time to see if they hold up. Good customer service. Received in exactly one week from time of order.

Heavy duty, rugged, and cheaper than Muck Boots
I have been purchasing Muck Boots for years but the style I wear is now $100.00. Ouch. I wear out a pair of boots about every 9 months and I just couldn't justify paying $100.00. At $70.00 these Ropers work just fine. They are comfortable and look like they will survive my punishment as good as the Mucks, while saving $30.00.I took the advice of many other reviewers that said the fit was a bit on the large size and I'm sure glad I did. I am a tight size 7 regularly but ordered a 7 in the Ropers and they have plenty of room for warm, comfy socks in cold weather. If these Ropers hold up as good as Muck boots (as I think they will) I will be a Roper convert.

Short top not as shown in picture
I love roper boots but these were not up to the middle of my calf as shown. More like an ankle boot.

Good Boots
These were for my wife, and she is very pleased with them. They fit just right. The only thing she doesn't care for is that they are too hot to wear for any length of time in summer temps. They will probably be great in winter.

Perfect for Gardening, Mud, Rain, Snow
I ordered these mainly because of price and a need for a boot that will protect me from ticks living in pine straw as well as from moisture. I'm not thrilled with pink upper hence, the 4 stars but actually, I would be able to see a tick crawling on the pink vs a dark color. About the sizing: These boots are meant to fit large but they seemed a bit too large and floppy for me until I made an adjustment. I normally wear an 8.5 but ordered the 9 since I tend to wear socks with boots and usually order a 9 in boots. When I first tried them on, with no sock, they seemed huge and I almost ordered an 8 but I removed the Roper insole and added my Ugg shearling insert in ( size 9) and put on a pair of light weight cable knee socks and they fit perfect. Granted, my heel still rocks a bit in the boot but they fit very comfortably snug and cushy. I don't want my heel to rub up against the back of the boot and so, I don't mind a slight rocking motion. It doesn't rock enough to rub my sock down. The heel points slightly forward anyway so I felt that if I ordered an 8 that it would be too short and tight with the shearling insole and rub my heel. I could probably wear an 8 with the original insert and a thin sock or a Ped-type sock but I like having a wool shearling insert in my boots, year round. Wool is healthier on feet than synthetic materials. I also tried these on with the Shearling insole and a pair of cotton ragg socks that are thicker than my Merino cable knee highs and they fit well too though slightly tighter. What I really like about these boots is that the top is loose enough for me to tuck my pants in without creating a huge blooming effect on my thighs. There is plenty of room in the circumference of the boot for my pants. That said, the flopping of the top on one's bare skin during walking might be irritating to some. If you plan to wear them in snow, make sure you order your regular boot size and use a Shearling insert with a Merino knee high sock or other wool sock and your feet will stay warm and dry - won't get cold from perspiration.UPDATE: I did order a size 8 to try and it was very tight in the instep and ankle and not comfortable at all so, I sent them back and kept the size 9. I wore the size 9 just yesterday with the shearling insole and no sock and they felt great. My only gripe is that my return is taking a long time and Sheplers only replies with a generic response.

Not for high arch, boots not same size
I ordered a size smaller because many of the reviews said these run big, even with socks. I got my feet into them but with thin socks they were squeezing my feet across the top of the foot and the right boot felt tighter. I was so disappointed because I have wide feet and these fit in the width but not with my high arch. I decided to let my daughter try them as her foot is smaller. They fit okay, but she noticed also that the right foot was tighter than the left. Looking closer we could see that the right boot was smaller in width than the left. Since her foot was smaller and they fit okay, we decided to keep them, but I would not try to order these because of irregularity in size of both boots.

Poor longevity
Ripped within 4 months of using, I was expecting at least a few years of barn use for the price. They look like solid rubber, which is why I got them, but it ripped open not only when your foot bends the rubber but also in the sole of the foot. My sock gets wet constantly now.

Perfect Boot
Very pleased with these boots! Surprisingly cushiony insole. Wore them 4+ hours without any issues while working in a barnyard. After reading reviews that they run a half-size large, I ordered the 7 despite my normal size being 7.5 and even 8 occasionally. GREAT decision! Wondered if my feet would overheat in thick rubber uppers but it wasn't any problem at all. When mine wear out eventually, I'll buy another pair. And I paid $67(?) through Amazon with free shipping when Zappos was charging $75.

WAY TOO BIG
Ordered a size 8 but they were more like a 10. Had to send them back.
