I was told Medical King was one of the good brands for solar glasses. These were on sale cheap. I drove out to see the April 2024 eclipse. I could see the partial eclipse just fine with these. I didn't get any good pics because my stupid phone wouldn't focus on the sun. I tried with the glasses and again with a welding helmet some guy had. Nothing. But the glasses themselves worked just fine. There were other people there with no prep so I got to be the hero handing out glasses to people. I had plenty. Keep in mind if you see a full solar eclipse like I did, you can take the glasses off at totality. 99% eclipse is kinda boring but 100% totality is mind blowing. As soon as the sun starts showing again, put the glasses back on to view. Or you can do like I did and just leave. I had already been there several hours waiting for totality, so 99% eclipse didn't interest me at all. I won a staring contest with the sun. Did you? I didn't think so. These glasses helped me win. Spain 2026. That's the next one. If you're going try to be in the center of totality. It lasts the longest there. It's worth the extra drive. This is not a "toy" so I'm not answering any toy questions. These glasses are a protection mechanism so you can view an eclipse safely. They fold up to nothing so you have a stack of 10 maybe half an inch thick. Stylized cardboard with plastic lenses. They work. Good good good.

This product was perfect and exactly as described. Great product and great price. They shipped super fast too. The glasses offered the perfect amount of protection and weren't uncomfortable. These glasses provided us with the experience of a lifetime. In fact, I gave my neighbor a pair of these glasses as she had never seen an eclipse in her 74 years of life. She was thrilled to have a chance to see the eclipse because of these glasses! This was the second time I got to see an eclipse, but it was the first time for both of my kids. I was also able to use the glasses to take some videos and photos of the eclipse. It was an event to remember and I'm glad I was able to use the glasses to take pictures.

Works great

Where we live we were not supposed to be able to see the eclipse so no one thought much about getting glasses. But, a couple of days before the event the path of the thing changed and suddenly we would be able to see it about 85% meaning that then everyone was scrambling to get glasses. The only problem was, that as soon as people wanted them, they were nowhere to be found. Luckily we still had ours from 2017 but if we hadn't, we would have just been out of luck. Don't want that to happen if we ever need some again so I bought these after the 2024 eclipse to put up for the future. I hear you should be able to see at least some of the 2026 eclipse from our state so we are all set for that. Since I haven't used them yet I can't speak to how well they work, but I was disappointed that the description said they were individually wrapped and they are not. However, if they work, and I have no reason to believe they won't, 10 pairs for $6.99 is a real deal!

They were great worked well the most amazing thing I ever seen in my life

I bought these for the 2024 solar eclipse. We bought a similar pair from a local science museum around 6 years ago for a different solar event and ended up sharing the one pair we had with everyone near us. I wanted to get more this time so that we can give these away or lend out more when we get to the actual event. The cost is really great and I like how they are very compact so it's easy to store for the next time. I looked into the certification listed for these, and confirmed on NASA's website that these certifications are fine for looking at the sun and that they don't expire. In previous years with solar events, I found that it was always hard to find solar glasses the closer you get to the event. So go ahead and save these for the next one too. My only complaint is that it is a little short from the glasses to my ears (I don't think I have a large head either). Not really a huge problem as I only plan to wear this for a few minutes at a time though. Still, it would be nicer/more comfortable if it fit an adult head a bit better. Overall, this should work well for what I need (viewing the sun and not damaging my eyes) and should last for multiple solar events.

Meets current standards and kept the whole families eyes safe! Will be saving for the next eclipse! I have a pretty large head and they still fit on me over top of my glasses.

I ordered a pack of 10 of these solar eclipse glasses prior to the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse. I tested them first by putting them on and then staring at a lamp, which turned out very dim. I tried it on a an aluminum foil plate that reflects sunlight and you could barely see it. Then I tried on the Sun itself and the Sun had a very mild brightness to it that made me comfortable and confirmed that they are not fake or unsafe for use during the eclipse. I was then able to enjoy the full eclipse from 1st contact (C1), up until totality. As you can see, from the above images, I took some decent pictures of some of the various stages of the the long partial phase of the eclipse, leading up to totality. I did this by cutting out one half of one pair of glasses and then taping it to the back of my smartphone so that it covers the phone camera lens as a DIY solar filter. To conclude, I would definitely recommend these solar eclipse glasses and I forgot to mention that delivery was earlier than expected as I ordered them on a Saturday night, they were originally supposed to arrive by the following Wednesday but instead, I got them delivered on Monday afternoon, not even two days later!

Glasses are totally dark and believed it was defective. Tried outdoors during the Eclipse, it worked seeing the Moon & Sun together. Reviews for other Eclipse Glasses required total darkness for protection. So these glasses were exactly the protection necessary and not fake imitations.

These were so good! Used them as glasses and cut some to use to capture a Timelapse of the eclipse on my iPad. Fit both young and old in our family.
