Ergorest Standardbr

Rest assured, this is quality
I considered all sorts of clip on one-piece rests, keyboard rests, rollermouse + rest and even a cheaper version of the Ergo Rest before finally ordering the one I wanted, but couldn't justify the expense for. Well what a marvelous aid this is! Sturdy, well-engineered, with an aluminium clamp / arm and a VERY comfy swivel pad. The adjustable height allows the pad to float a mere couple of mm over the surface of your desk, or even higher if you so desire. The soft padded rest really is a 'rest' and not a crutch, so your arm can briefly move away from the rest and back again - unlike the cheaper alternative perhaps, which looks more like a trough with sharp edges.I should have bought one of these years ago. After a couple of hours using the Ergo Rest I liked it so much I promptly ordered another! While one may be considered necessary for the dominant hand and two might be a luxury, what's wrong with a little luxury? If I'm not entitled to a nicely balanced left and right arm at my age I never will be. They can even be pushed out of the way when not in use so they don't clutter up the desk.My unsolicited advice to anyone considering the Ergo Rest or a cheaper alternative is to save up for this one. No, don't buy it on credit, just save up for one like in the days of yore. If you do end up settling for cheap tat, don't come crying to me when the plastic clamp breaks, dinging your elbow, twisting your wrist and landing the rubber end of your pointy pencil in your eye, Harold. You have been warned...
