Fantastic! This is an original equipment replacement filter that comes fully assembled and ready to drop in. The Amazon price for this is about the same as getting only the replacement fins at your local pool supply store. I’m very fortunate that I ordered the entire assembly because my upper manifold ended up having a large crack in the top.Replacement was very simple:1) Shut off the power and open the air valve on top of the filter tank.2) Open the drain plug at the bottom of the filter tank.3) Remove the nut and bolt from the tank clamp and remove the clamp.4) Take the top of the tank off, carefully remove and clean the tank gasket5) Rinse off the existing filter assembly to remove excess dirt and DE (it’s super heavy if you don’t) and pull the old filter assembly out and set aside.6) Thoroughly rinse out the lower and upper halves of filter tank.7) Replace and lubricate the o-ring on the riser tube in the lower tank8) Drop the new filter assembly in 9) place the tank gasket in place and apply a generous amount of lube and place the upper tank half on top 9) Replace the tank clamp and tighten (not too much or it could crack the tank)10) Re-install the drain plug. and turn the power back on11) Start the pump and let it prime and fill the filter tank. As soon as water starts shooting out of the air release valve, close the valve.12) Add DE to your skimmer that is closest to the filter (per the filter’s specs)13) Enjoy!The whole job took about 45 minutes. My pool was crystal clear again within 3-4 hours and looks as good as new now. This is a very easy process and costs a fraction of hiring a pool company to do it AND it takes hours less than replacing the fins separately.NOTE: I recommend selecting Amazon as the seller for this item. As some of the other reviews mentioned, some of the others appear to be counterfeit. Mine arrived in a Hayward box and had Hayward markings on the top manifold.

Needed a replacement for an old HAYWOOD DE3600 and it fit perfect and works great.I got nervous when it arrived since the box in came in looked like it went through a tornado but everything inside was perfect and it works great! Couldn’t be happier

I want to thank the sellers for their quick responses to my concerns. Once I received the product I was concerned it was the wrong product thinking it was a 2420 instead of a 3620 because the plastic tips on the top cap where longer than my original filter I didn’t think it would fit in the housing. I sent in questions and even started a return but they quickly relied assuring me it was the correct item all while not dismissing my concerns. The bottom line is the seller did send me the correct product and where willing to provide great customer service to resolve any issues. The filter assembly is a quality Hayward product.Thank you.

I ordered the hayward DE4820 filter it is too short for my replacement filter. The DE4830 filter is 30" over all height. 16" wide. the spout height is 23" on level ground. the element height is 24" to 24.5". It has eight elements .The spout intake out take was the same diameter as the DE6020 filter. Nice replacement just wish it fit my unit which I believe is the DE6020. The box it came in could have damaged the unit because it is fragile, the box had some holes in it and was barely tapped closed.

This was the best price I found for this piece and it was exactly what I needed to replace the innards of my filter. Matched it perfectly!

Our filter began to have high pressure shortly after cleaning or backwashing. In my experience with d.e. Filters that is time to replace. With this part you can have a new filter in short order for way less cost and effort.

Hayward DE 3000 prob the best best filter ever made! It’s for a newer model # and was nervous about fitting a 1990’s pool filter.. perfect fit crazy easy replacement! Old one out new one in.. 45 minutes! I have never seen a pool cleaner than mine! BTW, the longer tabs on top of the manifold did not make a difference at all. Fit perfectly!

I purchased this for my Hayward DE-3600 filter because my old grid had cracks in the plastic manifold and the elements were very old. Now when my filter runs it starts out OK at 18 PSI and then after 20 or so minutes the pressure increases to 25-28 PSI and I lose flow. I am so frustrated that I can't vacuum and clean my pool now. If anyone has any advice please let me know! I can't even find a pool maintenance company to come help diagnose the problem.
