This is not the RH 1000 model.
The RH 1000 model that is shown and in the description is NOT the model I received. I received the RH 2000 model. The original 1000 model is a work horse beast. The 2000 model I received is not. I have both. My 1000 model I have had for years. The 2000 model lasted just beyond my warranty date. I saw the 1000 model on here and sent for it mmediately. What I received is the 2000 model. There are differences I can live with. 2000 model has attachments that are a lilies different and so are the filters. Livable for me. It’s the fact it didn’t last compared to the 1000 model. I smUpset it is advertised here as the 1000 model and I got the 2000 one!! It’s going back.

Older Model Had Better Suction
It doesn't seem to have as much suction as the older model. With the brush attachment installed, it has weak suction. Good battery life though.

continuous storage on the charger not recommended per the manual
Just received this today. (see below for update)This product is advertised to have smart charging tech so that the unit can be stored on the charger without over charging the batteries. The manual directly contradicts this is at least three places specifically stating that if the unit is not unplugged after charging the batteries will likely be damaged.I am lazy! I don't want to have to remember to unplug the unit 6 hours after I use it and start to recharge it.Most of the units on sale don't have smart tech and that is fine. Just don't tell me it does and then tell me otherwise when I read the manual! The unit seems to have the power, it is wet/dry, and seems to be well built so if the above is not an issue it may be worth considering.B&D does have a unit (BLACK+DECKER CHV1410L 16V Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum) dry only with the smart tech and continuous storage on the charger (and confirmed in the manual) if that is of interest.I chose this unit because of the added power and the wet/dry configuration. Without the smart tech and continuous storage on the charger however it is unacceptable.I have called the Co three times with no one answering the phone. I have sent an e-mail to their customer service and will update this review if anything changes.01/31/18Talked with the company Rep last night. The advertising on Amazon has been updated to remove the ability for continuous storage on the charger and per the Rep the new manual wording has been revised although it is not shipping in the current product. The unit does have Smart Tech which means when the battery is charged the charger drops to a trickle charge. The company did respond to my e-mail so I am satisfied.I used the unit this morning and as advertised it is powerful and quite a bit quieter than my previous unit.Based on this I have changed my rating from one star to four stars.

Well Built & Reliable
I'm quite pleased with this hand-vac. It's working really well and clocked in at a decent price.

Cleaning Instructor in my last career...where was this years ago?
OK...I got this three days ago. If I could give it 10 stars I so would. If anything changes, I will definitely update this but...WHERE WAS THIS ALL MY LIFE? I am a power took girl. I did all the research on hand vacs because I wanted something that would work and work well. Most of the other brands had lousy reviews, or varying reviews depending on where you look. So first off...I have a puppy. She's a 60 lb presently black lab puppy that is 6 months old. She makes messes and is going through her seasonal shedding. This sucks it all up. Wet, dry, it does it. Second....for some reason in my home office I am invaded by lady bugs. Like I catch/kill about 20 a day. The nozzle attachments that come with this? I don't have to climb on a chair, I can do the ceiling and suck those bugs up like no tomorrow. This is an 18V hand vac. Think of it this way...most power drills....are 18V. Most other hand vacs...hardly having any sucking power...this sucker does....and with the brush attachment? I cleaned the air vents in my ceiling bathroom fans. Without having to get on a chair or ladder. I'm short. I used to teach cleaning to hospitals, professionals, etc. So as soon as this baby got charged...I went and but it through the ringer....I love this thing. Highly highly recommend. Again...if it changes...I will update....I will be honest this was a tad more then I wanted to spend but I went with it and am so glad I did.Updated 10/3/2019 - Just wanted to let you know....this thing still works like a pro. As in going strong. No worries. it has been used almost daily.....I've had other cordless hand vacs....this one rocks.

Strong suction And lasting battery
I like this Dustbuster because it does what it says it’s going to do. It has a very strong suction and is able to pick up spills, large spills, which is great because I had bought it to pick up all the water that gets on the floor whenever I clean my fish tank and it works like a charm. A few things that I don’t like about it such as the fact that after you suck up a lot of the water you need to empty it and let it dry. I also don’t like the fact that you can see all the dirt and grime in the garbage containment part and so I often find myself rinsing it out because it looks dirty. I do like the fact that it’s heavy duty and it takes a long charge and lasts a long time It does require a lot of rinsing out and you do have to make sure you have it pointed directly down to the floor so that you do pick up any grime that is there. However for my needs it works perfectly

Great choice in a hand-held cordless vacuum
I'm glad I read and heeded the many positive reviews. This simple little hand-held vacuum is perfect for when I want to zip up a small mess, and don't have the time or patience to lug my full size vacuum out. It holds a charge for weeks with infrequent use. And unlike many other appliances, it's not too loud. Just right!

Overall good, read crefully
Be sure you charge it before first use and you open up the filter and Remove and throw the safety filter placed inside the opening of the suctional area. This way you can unleash the power which I found appropriate for the money. I was positively impresssed. I only feel that it lacks more and better quality accessories. I would pay extra for extra hose, liquid suction extension and thinner tubes to reach the awkward places of my car

Good suction!
Use for small areas in Car and home. Vac is a bit heavy. Have not used for wet pick up.
