The cans are small so if you have long hair you might need two cans. My husband has white hair and it covers really well. It washed out easily too!

Overall this product(I bought black) works quite well. I have vibrant multi-colored hair and was able to have full coverage without any colors showing through. And the color really didn't wear off onto anything except my forehead but was mainly unnoticeable because it was light and my hair covered it. This product also washes out very easily. I took maybe a 10 minute shower to wash it out and was back to vibrant multi-color.However, the fumes are HORRIBLE. I was gagging, my eyes were watering, and I had to stop multiple times to step out of the bathroom just so I could breath. I had to hold my breath the entire time I was spraying my hair and hold my shirt over my nose. The hotel bathroom I was in did not have a fan so I pretty much fumigated the bathroom and area right outside of it.Even though the smell was horrid I would still use this product again, with a mask and fan next time, because I was very pleased with the end result and many of my friends thought I had actually dyed my hair.

I purchased this for a Princess Jasmine costume. I used a can and a half on my long thick brown hair. It was a little messy and I could not touch my hair once it was on or it would come off onto my hands. It comes out like hair spray, so your hair will be hard once it is sprayed in. It took about 4 washes to get it out of my hair and it did dye the bathtub black (took a lot of scrubbing to get this off). Any black that came off on my costume was easily washed off in the washer. Overall it did it's job but had a lot of clean up.

I used this to spray my hair black for hulk costume. I had a friend spray my hair with it outside. It does create a terrible smell so I would hold your breath while applying it and always do it outside. The spray makes your hair a little crispy. However, it lasted the whole night and did not noticeably flake off. It came off very easily in the shower. At most you might need to shampoo twice to remove everything.

Used a can to cover my hair (shoulder length) and it covered great. However I would recommend using outside and putting a towel over your clothes and wait for it to dry. The fabric that the color did get on did end up coming out in the wash tho. When I washed my blonde hair I had no traces of black or stained hair.

I used this on my daughter as she has blonde hair to look like harry potter. Not only was it easy to use it was easy to remove. I did spray it outside as not to get it on anything inside the house. Darker the look, add more layers of spray.

I thought it would be more of a spray-in color, not an actual hairspray. I mean, yes the name does call it 'hair spray,' but I was not expecting this stuff to be so stinking powerful. I sprayed a little bit in my hair (and I have short hair) and it made my hair rock solid to the touch. I couldn't even pin it back because it was so tough. I couldn't even brush it afterwards to even out my hair.I don't recommend this for people who want their hair to be a natural black. Trust me, buy a wig for twenty bucks. You'll be better off. Otherwise, if you want to make your hair tinted -- this is perfect. I mean it's really a great hair spray -- its just not the color of a typical hairspray.
