Sparky the Broken Mirror: A Short Story for the Entire Family

I originally purchased one book for my granddaughter as a Christmas gift and loved it so much myself as it truly speaks to each person’s heart. The Lord led me to purchase 4 more to give as Christmas gifts to other family members with children as well as to a few of our neighbors with children. If you’re looking for a way to evangelize and find it difficult, this is a fun and simple approach. The story is deep but presented in a way such that a toddler can understand. Older children and adults will grasp the concepts as it is so straightforward yet creative. It will minister to all who read it especially parents and caregivers who read to their children. Such a powerful and endearing way to share the gospel story to families with children. I think I will need to order more for future birthdays and other gift-giving opportunities. Beautiful Kingdom seeds to plant in this dark time. God will give the increase. Thank you Pastor Schimmel for this gift to many.

Pastor Joe has done a very entertaining job of explaining in an easy way for kids to understand the fall of man and the emptiness experienced without our king. My kids were fascinated with the book and its images. This helped to lead to a biblical discussion with the family. This is a great book to give on birthdays.

What a beautiful way of explaining the gospel so that every child will see how precious they are to their Creator! I can't recommend it enough.

Basically bought this for all of my church friends To read to their little ones period what a beautiful display of the gospel and a fun and imaginative way.. in a world where there's so much gross material out there. It's nice to have a refreshing book that doesn't try to push anything odd But instead shares a sweet and meaningful story.Will be gifting this to more of my friends with children.

The message of this story is perfect for children to learn about Jesus's sacrifice for us all! This book has an amazing moral and was written beautifully with lovely illustrations and rhymes. Joe Schimmel includes a portion at the end of the book that explains to children the underlying message in a clear way, offering an example of how we (as God's creation) can only be put together again with His help. Five stars! It's a children's book based on a true story and a must have classic for all! :)

Heard about the book watching Good Fight Ministries channel on YouTube. It's a unique story meant to convey the gospel to children. Since the fall we are like Sparky, and we can be led down lots of paths trying to put ourselves together, but the only one who can make us whole again is God our Creator. Through Jesus shed blood, we can be born again, and be made new. The illustrations were very heartwarming, and brought tears to my eyes. Overall would recommend.

This book is an amazing book. I bought on for my new little grandson, and for my daughter who has 3 little ones. It’s their nightly bedtime story. What an amazing way to bring the gospel to children and believe it or not, even adults. It’s so simple and beautifully written. Also, wish it were available in Spanish. I’ve ordered several of them to hand out with baskets to families as we share the gospel, however I live in a predominantly Spanish speaking area and would love to add these to the baskets. It would be good for both parents and the children. Most children know English. However, having parents reading this book to the children can also lead the parents to the cross!This book is that amazingly done!!!!!!

My husband Joaquin purchased this book, we love pastor Joe! It is such a great book to share the gospel with children. I read it to my 2 and 7 year old and they loved it! Praise God, that He loves us so much, He alone can put all the broken pieces together and make us new! Thank you pastor Joe for writing this book! We love you and miss you. I have included this book in my story time rotation for my kids. They love it and enjoy making the comparisons between the characters/scenarios and what they are learning about Jesus and events in the bible.
