Feels strong for its price
This stand works really well with the 2021 MacBook Pro M1 13". One thing: if your laptop has a plastic case that makes it thicker, it might not hold the screen completely upright at the highest setting. You'll need to take off the laptop case for it to work right. Besides that, I like the stand. Also, it's nice that they included two plastic stands which I would probably never ordered – I've already put my Kindle on one of them.

Travel Essential
THIS IS ESSENTIALLY THE ROOST STAND, except for the name (and price).Very, very good material quality even though it is made of Nylon ABS.I've compared this with the Roost which retails at around £70 and it seems identical from looks, dimension and weight down to the tent cloth quality bag. It either comes out of the same factory or is indeed a very good copy.It unfolds effortlessly, is sturdy and symmetrically correct ie. both sides are the same, folded or open.My 2019 XPS 4k is held securely and due to the rubber coated front feet doesnt overtly slides around. This stand is absolutely perfect for travelling.HOWEVER ... at it's lowest setting (see photos) it is still relatively high with the screen lifted to around 22cm/8.5".I did not deduct a star for this as most folks probably appreciate the elevation that can be achieved with this stand but it's worth bearing in mind if you only require modest lift on occasions.I have now also ordered the Nexstand which seems to go a little lower. I dont expect quite the same quality but will add to this review once I tried it.I probably wouldnt personally use this as a primary stand for a fixed home or work station/set-up. It will of course do that, no issues but it really is a travel product first and brilliant at that. - For home/work I'd perhaps choose something a little heavier with space underneath to store the keyboard when not in use, perhaps even an extendable laptop arm unless you move your laptop around rooms ... in which case this is perfect.Highly RecommendedUPDATE:THE FOLLOWING ARE MY THOUGHTS ON THE NEXSTANDYou also find my review and photo comparisons in the Nexstand product listing. Thank you.I recently purchased the APzek foldable stand which in all but name is the same as the much praised Roost. The former is £15, the latter £70. I have done a detailed review of it on Amazon. -The only small criticism I had on that otherwise phenomenal product was that the minimum height is around 22cm. It's not possible to lower it further. So here are my views on the Nexstand. Please see the photos for comparison.Build quality is good and the stand opens and closes effortlessly. It doesnt quite feel as solid as the APzek but I have no complaints about fit and finish. The Nexstand is slightly larger and perhaps 40 to 50 grams heavier, not a huge margin but it may or may not make the difference between fitting in your bag or not. Check measurements. While the APzek has softer rubber protection on the clamps and front feet, the Nextand has what feels like soft plastic on the front feet and clamps. - The result is the Nexstand may slide more on smooth surfaces and the clamp may be slightly harder on the laptop. However, after using it no marks were left on my 15" 2019 XPS. - Still, worth bearing in mind longer term and I probably would advise to buy some self adhesive rubber tape to add a bit of protection and slip resistance. The Nexstand will adjust lower than the APzek (see photos) if that is important to you. It also has more levels between lowest and highest. The APzek has three, which I feel are perfectly adequate, minimum height aside.Clamp size is slightly larger on the Nexstand so if you have something like a gamers machine, that's probably the one to get. It comes with inserts (hard plasic) for very slim ultrabooks. The bag it comes in a softer nylon sock style, the APzek's is more of a tent material. Both will do the job.So, which one to choose? As both are clearly made for travelling, my vote would probably go to the APzek. Essentially you are getting the Roost stand for £50 less (though I would say £70 for that product is slightly overpriced). - It's slightly smaller and lighter and a smidgen sturdier though the Nexstand is by no means badly constructed. The APzek has better rubber parts compared with the more plastic ones on the Nexstand. Both probably benefit from a little added protection. The APzek is also a little cheaper though neither is expensive for what you get.If you have an unusually large (thick) laptop my choice would be the Nexstand. It also goes lower than the APzek so that is a consideration too.Hope this helps.
