They collect the natural reeds and pine needles near their home then sort them, clean thoroughly and lay out to dry. This basket is a great size to use for fruit on the table or for your needlework by your chair. The lashing is blue nylon cording. 12 inches diameter and 5 inches tall. Base is 9 inches in diameter
