Tried to hang a light pair of rails on 2 of these, the rail weigh about 6pounds and the hooks instantly slid downward

These work really well and tbh I am rather surprised at how well they work to hold something rather heavy like an extension cord. The magnets are strong and the hooks are pretty thick and these should hold up for years and years I'm sure. My headline for these hooks says it all.The hooks have a a nice silicone cover on the portion that would hold the tool or the strap.The 2 pronged hooks are very strong - I tried to squeeze them together with my gorilla hands and they did not budge.Simple instructions would have been nice, but I pulled up the product's page in amazon - and saw how it was assembled in the picture and duplicated it.The rare earth magnet (I'm assuming its rare earth) is very strong - and it's covered in a kind of silicone rubber. The coating is matte, not glossy, and it's even and smooth.If you turn it over to look at the back side of the magnet - it looks like there are several small magnets placed inside a metal disc, so there you go.The straps are really well made in my opinion - there are no frays in any of the stitching, there is a short tab sewn into the edge of the velcro strap that allows you to more easily open and close the strap.These would be an absolute bargain if they had 2 straps per hook, but these are well made, I still stick with 4 stars.This is worth the asking price, but would be over the top if they added another 2 straps.

I used these hooks with the magnetic base attached and afixed them to the sides of my roll-away tool box. The hooks are well made with good spot welds, a nice powder coated finish and tight fitting protective sleeve on the hook ends. The included cord managers are a nice addition and are large enough to hold a 100-ft heavy duty electrical extension cord, although the magnet was not strong enough to hold the hook with the cord attached to the side of my tool box... it slowly slid down but didn't fall off right away so It's the slickness of my tool box that wouldn't hold it I believe.It's nice that you can choose not to use the magnetic base and permanently mount the hook using the two screw holes instead.The product description mentions using them as a hook attached to appliances in the kitchen... these are not really something I would want to use in my kitchen or any room within the living spaces of my home unless it was a utility room/basement/attic.The price as of the writing of this product review is $21.24 with a 30% discount coupon, bringing the price down to $14.87. There are similar hooks at similar prices but they do not include the two cord organizers.In closing, these are a nice addition to organizing your garage or shop and flexible mounting make them versatile. These have my seal of approval.

I always love using items with magnets for organization. These give you the flexibility to place them anywhere you have a good ferrous surface to stick them to. I'm using them as many to keep extension cables or some rope off the floor in my garage. But as they are magnetic I can freely move them around as they are screwed/bolted in. Very happy with all well that have been working.
