Just what we needed!
My son just started his freshman year in high school 3 weeks ago. He's been having a hard time adapting to his geometry teacher's methods and the amount of information given. We have been staying up every night helping and mainly teach him where some information seemed to be lacking. We decided to get this video and watch it over Labor Day weekend. This video is EXACTLY what we were wanting. The teacher on the video is clear and covers all aspects of the terms, theorems and the logic to geometry. This one video covers my son's entire text book this year and possibly next year. The best thing is that if he didn't get something right away we could rewind and watch it again till he understood the concepts. This is a must tool to allow anyone who needs to comprehend geometry. For us we are using it so that he can get ahead and no longer struggle with homework/class work/quizzes for the rest of the year.

If you've tried the rest, now try the best. He makes math easy.
I'm a substitute teacher and tutor. I hate to think how hard it would be learn math without Jason Gibson. I've tried others - torture and frustration. He makes it easy and, dare I say it? FUN.Mr. Gibson is an engineer (with the NASA space shuttle - how cool is that?). He teaches you how to DO THINGS in the real world, no theoretical mumbo jumbo to confuse you.When you watch this series, don't try too hard - just quiet your mind and really listen.

Some basic math errors.
This is the first DVD I've purchased by this author. Overall I enjoyed the DVD despite several math errors...The errors were in basic math (addition, subtraction, etc) and I easily caught them, so I wasn't upset...What concerns me is if I purchase more advanced DVDs from this author that may include errors that I am unable to catch...Math errors in(by) a math dvd/a math instructor is unforgivable...However, I will purchase more since I did learn quite a bit nontheless.MJL

Great for beginning students
This is a great series! My daughter is in pre-Algebra, doing some initial Algebra and Geometry basics and this unit is slow enough that she is confident in hearing the new concepts as they are presented. It is a great foundational course for someone beginning Geometry. However, my son is in Geometry now and covered all of the topics in this disc in the first couple of months of class, so it depends on the pace and level of your student.

A great overview of geometry
The instructor uses a simple white board, but his explanations are clear and concise. He begins with the very basic terminology and definitions and builds from there to more challenging proofs and theorems. He helps make sense of some of the more complex concepts by linking them to everyday examples. Samples from his DVDs may be viewed on his website. I recommend his upper level math DVDs to everyone who wants to review the concepts from geometry or who wants a thorough explanation in layman's terms of how to do proofs.

Breaking down barriers-
Math is so critical to everything and yet it is overlooked by many people. Listen to what Jasonsays and follow Him and work thru the problems as well as watch the DVD's. Jason breaksall the barriers down so gradually that it becomes easy for anyone. One thing he stressesis to work thru the problems yourself and write down the problems to work your brain, don'tjust follow him.

Good product, deliverd on time and the leassons were quite good organized. I ordered it to help my daughter with her Geometry school lessons; I almost forgot it been over 30 years for me; and it gave me a whole new view of the topic that I used to help my daughter.

MUST-HAVE Geometry Tutor
Absolutely the BEST high-school geometry help I have ever seen. We purchased four other formats at the same time, and this is the only one we ended up using (or needing) for the full course. Simple, concise presentation without bells and whistles. Fully comprehensive and easy to navigate to specific points; friendly and casual, like having a teacher on remote! If you are going to spend money on geometry help, you absolutely MUST HAVE the Geometry Tutor.
