Total Chair and Wheel Chair Cushion, Made in USA

This item i had bought for my grandmother because she spends most of her time now in a wheelchair, but was becoming very uncomfortable. My mother and i saw this chair cushion and thought it was perfect, and were a little let down. It is very soft and plush, and is made of good material if she drips anything onto it (meaning stains don't really take, water kinda rolls right off). The problem we have also has to do with the material and the way it sits on the wheelchair. It is a slippery material and there is also no way for it to tie onto the actual chair.So you just place it on the seat and hope she doesn't move i guess. Well, when we first placed her in, she said she was very comfy, but with all her movement and adjusting, about 20 minutes later she had slided, along with the cushion, off of the wheelchair seat and somehow caught herself on the feet part. It would be better if it had come with something to attach it to the wheelchair so there would be no slippage.

I just received this seat cover the other day. I am so glad I bought this seat cover. This is exactly what my powerchair needed something that looked good and felt good to sit on. I spend a lot of time in my powerchair. I needed something that not only looked good, but felt good too, this is both. I have one very small, minor pet peeve, the arms of the seat could have come with a way to keep them down and not sticking up, however, if you would like you could always fold the arms down and sit on them for more comfort,the choice would be yours.Since I have just received this the other day, I cannot share with you how well this will wash and dry, it looks easy enough. I like the blue color of the seat cover, blue being my favorite color, however, more colors would be nice too, I am on the lookout for more feminine colors. The pricing is great for this type of seat cover and the delivery was super quick. I am liking this seat cover very, very much, thank you. Yes, I recommend this seat cover for powerchairs,basic wheelchairs or outdoor (patio) seats and recliner chairs too.

I suspect a wheelchair user would have given this 5 stars; the only reason I did not is because I was trying to use it on a desk chair. I found a soft, comfortable desk chair in a store, bounced around in it, like it, bought it. Only after having it home and using it for a while did I realize that the arms were far too widely spaced to be comfortable. The wheelchair cushion looked like a possible fix. But the desk chair was too wide for the wheelchair cushion to accomplish much! The cushion is very comfortable to sit on, but cannot fix a design flaw. But as long as your chair has properly spaced arms, you will like the item.

I'm sure that the fitting of this item depends greatly on a person's size and wheelchair, but for me it is perfect. Much of my pain that would result from standing is pain I feel sitting in most chairs, so to have such a soft yet supportive cushion, that even allows me to curl up with my legs leaning to the side comfortably, makes all the difference in the world to me. Even if there was no walking involved, I could not attend most functions because of the chairs, but this one makes me feel like I'm at home.When I ordered my chair I was instructed to account for cushion height. The 2" I accounted for this one was appropriate.If it is helpful to know, I am petite, 5'2" about 105 lbs, and got a custom chair for a small-framed person. This might work perfectly well for larger folks and chairs too, but if you and your chair are my size, this cushion is probably for you.

We use this for our old computer chair since they are so expensive if you want something decent. I had to put a band around it so it wouldn't slip down off the computer chair. I have not tried this on my outdoor furniture (in sunroom) yet. I found it much cheaper on another website but they were out of stock. Would like more colors and maybe a little more padding on the bottom. The arms don't have to come up so high or make them with velco so you have a choice of high or low.

This cushion is a great idea; however I feel that it needs some type of attaching straps. The cushioned area is made of a very low density stuffing. If you are able to move around in your chair this might work for you.However, I purchased this for my husband who is a memory care unit and the cushion is not very easy to use when you have to position it under someone else. If this manufacturer would make this with some type of mounting straps and use a higher density padding for the seat/armrest areas this would be a much better product.

Two issues with this product. The arm rests have some sharp plastic pieces in them which come through the cloth and irritate your arms. My left elbow was almost raw after 2 days. Flipping the product over solved that. The other issue involves cleaning. After a single wash the back rest is no longer rigid enough to remain erect as the photo indicates. As soon as you lean forward, it collapses.

THIS CUSHION WASN'T AT ALL HELPFUL TO ME. THERE WAS NO WAY TO SECURE THE CUSHION TO THE ARMS OR THE BACK. IT NEEDED SOME TYPE OF ELASTIC OR ATTACHMENT TO SECURE THE BACK AND THE ARMS, AS EVERY TIME I VACATED THE CHAIR, THE BACK OR ARMS WOULD FALL IN TO THE CHAIR I DONATED IT TO THE THRIFT STORE. LESSON LEARNED!
