Great board for all but really critical waves
I have ridden this board in a wide variety of conditions--reef, beachbreaks, and shorebreak (The Newport Beach Wedge on Balboa Peninsula, to be exact). It is NOT a board for everyone, you need strong arms to muscle it in and out of bottom turns and cutbacks. It takes awhile to get used to doing el rollos on a 24"+ wide board, but it is possible. I would compare it to a single fin or longboard in the barrel: you can definitely get pitted properly, but once you pick a line, you more or less have to hold it. I bought it after wrecking my foot, and paddled it with one flipper. Now I use it with both flippers, and it is my primary board. It is great in small surf, and can be scooped into large barrels. Try it out, see what you think, but remember, it will take awhile to adjust to using a much larger and heavier board. The bottom feels like some sort of epoxy or thick plastic, and is extremely durable. I el rollo'd onto a shortboard someone bailed in the impact zone, drove two skeg-holes into the bottom of my board (luckily not my stomach) and the Bullyboard I have still works fine. The one other major downside, besides manueverability in technical barrels: the board is HUGE, and is a pain to carry. Any spot that requires a long walk to get to is going to be taxing with this board; the board is so wide that even with very long arms, I cannot completely wrap my hand around the rail of the board when carrying it with one arm.
