wolfcraft 5018000 Cutting stand for one-hand angle grinders Ø 180 and 230 mm

9" grinders are a necessary evil. Not my favourite tool, scary things. Anything that holds one securely is a bonus. I know the Wolfcraft brand so I gave it a go. The assembly instructions are dire. Once you've got your head around that assembling the kit is simple enough. Attaching your grinder? A merry dance indeed. It's a one size fits all piece of kit so it's a compromise. But it went together with some thought and choice swear words. I spent a while setting it up square. First cut through 42 mm tube. Perfect. I can do tidy cuts in one pass. Most importantly, with a stable and secure tool from hell. The grinder will stay in the stand. I've not had need to use it on stone etc for years so no problem.

I had to machine up some new bolts and bushings to hold my Kango grinder securely, also modified the vice to make it almost usable. Ended up with a decent tool, but if i'd just used it out of the box as it comes it wouldn't be very satisfactory.

Easy to put together, the only issue i had is that i was unable to attach either of my 180mm grinders to it as the threaded bolts (M10,12,14) that come with the jig were too large for the handle holes on the grinder (both M8)which attach it on either side to the jig. Luckily i have a 9" grinder which has larger threaded holes for handle and the bolts supplied fitted it. The main problem with this is the weight and for what i wanted it for like using a sledge hammer when a pin hammer is what you need. I can only give it 3 stars for the reason given above and have been tempted to return it but can make 2xM8 bolts long enough to secure the 180mm grinder and weld the handle to one of them. Basically dont buy if your grinder has M8 threads on the handle holes unless you want to take time and make a fix for it.

I have to give this 5 stars even though it was a bit of a pig to assemble Didn't use their shield as the one on by 9" grinder was more than adequate What I will say is don't over tighten the vice or the 10mm threaded handle might start to bend as it did on mine Once the grinder is in the right position, maker sure you secure the lock nuts or it will move out of adjustment The jig its self is excellent

Sadly this item was a complete disappointment for me, having purchased it with high hopes. It didn’t fit my hitachi 230mm angle grinder at all, was difficult to put together, and was not sturdy enough for quality cuts if it had fitted.

I had been looking for a angle grinder gig for some time whilst looking on the amazon site I found the product I wanted.On getting the product I thought it was excellent , easy to assemble simple to attach the angle grinder all in all I am very delighted with the the product, I would recommend the product very highly many thanks for such a good service

who ever writes the instruction sheet for assembling this needs to be hanged

El suport és exactament el que esperava, és ideal per a tallar perfils de poc gruix(fins 2mm) amb certa precissió i encara més important, amb seguretat. No és adequat per a treballs professionals, però per a treballs esporàdics és un excel.lent accessori. Jo l'utilitzo amb una radial Makita de 230mm i vaig haver de fer unes peces per tal de montar-la amb fermesa, suposo que per a marques europees (Bosch, Metabo,etc) el muntatge és més fàcil. També s'ha de parar compte a l'hora del muntatge del propi suport, per tal d'assegurar que el talls quedin a escaire. Més endavant potser l'implementaré amb una bona mordaça per assegurar encara millor els perfils i alguna mena de topall per fer talls repetitius. Hi han altres suports al mercat més barats, però la majoria, al meu parer, són massa febles. Estic content amb la meva compra, recomanable.

Alles sehr stabil, die Spannvorrichtung funktioniert bei Pflastersteinen optimal. Das Gerät ist leicht zusammen zu montieren Und erleichtert die Arbeit und Sicherheit enorm.

Helaas 1 tap gat vergeten met M10 draad hier zit dus geen draad ingtapt.wel erg slecht vind ik

I purchased this for my Bosch Angle Grinder - it fits a treat! The assembly is very simple and I am really happy with it. In fact, I should have bought one years ago. It is real value for money and a MUST HAVE item for the workshop

Dopo aver avuto qualche difficoltà per il montaggio sul supporto della mia smerigliatrice angolare (Una Stayer di oltre 20 anni ma perfettamente funzionante) ho provato il taglio di profilati di ferro che è avvenuto perfettamente. Il supporto era completo di tutti gli accessori ed abbastanza semplice da assemblare ed il basamento solido e sufficientemente pesante.
