I'm used to waking to my alarm in winter with instant wired shock, even if I'm awake but trying to pretend I'm not anticipating it. And getting out of bed that instant. In the summer it's not a hardship as light has already prepared. I purchased a different brand on Amazon at 3 times the price last week but realised on receipt it had far fewer options than this one and felt and looked pretty horrible. This is plastic, yes, but looks aesthetically nicer. Has lots of colour options and wake up and sleep.The sunrise can be set for 10, 20 or 30 mins timing and alarm wake with either FM radio or decent 'sounds' at the end of chosen time. Volume levels low to high in stages to choose from. Can have time display on with 3 levels, or off if you want complete darkness. Low is good for me - slight orange glow and not blue light.I've tried 10 min wake with light and then radio - over a few days it has woken me perhaps that 10 mins earlier, as I'm a light sleeper, but so much more gently, stretching and slight dose, eyes readying for light as it increases.We all like to catch every last minute on dark cold mornings but I've now convinced myself to go to bed 10 mins earlier.I recommend this one - please don't be fooled in spending loads on supposedly well known brands. This is superior to those models with more functions and better looks.Instructions look pretty formidable but are very straightforward if you understand 'menus'. Even if you don't a few practice runs to familiarise yourself with the operations will be fine - same with all digital clocks.Hope this helps.

I wanted an alarm clock that wakes me gently and this clock does exactly that. The gentle sunrise effect (subdued orange increasing to bright yellow over 10, 20 or 30 minues) then increasingly loud birdsong is the perfect way to wake up.The colour range is good (it can be any colour, not just sunrise colours) and the maximum brightness is also good, which means that it can be used as a reading light too. There are a lot of buttons which take some time to learn, but then there are many functions so it's to be expected. The overall design of the clock is appealing too, a smooth circular shape to mimic the sun.I thoroughly recommend this product.

Purchased during offer period. Arrived without power cable, will have to repurchase at full price as incomplete product and no support available.

This clock is perfect for those people like me that find it hard to wake up on these winter mornings. The timer on the light is perfect and you can adjust the brightness to your own preference. Lots of alarm sounds including some sounds to lull you to sleep. It's definitely the best thing that I have bought recently. My only criticism is the power lead could do with being longer.

Took a minute to read the instructions, there are still bits for me to perfect.I love this lamp, some of the moodlights are gorgeous and the kind of sunset one reminds me of candle light.The sunrise alarm work well and I really struggle with waking up in the morning but I'm finding it helps. I've been waking up less grumpy even when I choose to snooze.I have never tried the more expensive big name sunrise lamps so I can't compare. I am really really happy with this purchase.If your in 2 minds about buying this or a more expensive one. Try this first 100% =)

I bought this 2 months ago and I absolutly love it. It has genuinely made me feel less tired overall and helped energise me in the morning. I still find joy in turning it on in the evening and love all the different settings.

It was a good light but within a few months the buttons stopped working and I had to return.
