UPDATE: I've had this for less than a month & it stopped working.I don't usually post reviews, but I thought it'd be helpful to some here. I first tried this using a pair of the old apple headphones with the little converter thing attached that lets it plug into the newer iphones, and it didn't work. I tried it with the new headphones that don't need a converter, that can plug directly in, and it does work. So you will need to use headphones with the same plug as the charging cable, not ones that require the converter. Not a deal breaker for me, especially since it seems very hard to find decently priced splitters that work.

Honestly don’t waste your money ):
For the first week I loved this cord because I lost my other dual connector cord but ... it’s a no from me. I really want to love this cord because it’s so unique and does charge my phone but I’m TIRED of the fact that if I’m listening to music or watching a YouTube video, suddenly it will be playing OUT LOUD!! It’s so risky with this cord AND I’m using the original earphones that came with my iPhone 8 Plus!! I’m so over it honestly.... also I think most of the reviews are fake or something and this goes for most of the sellers that sell this type of product!!! If the reviews are all posted on the same day you can tell they’re paid or fake!

Worked well for a while...
Worked well for a while but then stopped recognizing the earphones when they were plugged in and then stopped charging altogether. I ended up just using wireless headphones.

Dead On Arrival
DOA. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to request a refund within the window (my fault), so I can’t tell how they would’ve handled it. Given the simplicity of the device, an out-of-box DOA isn’t a good sign.
