Great value for money android box
Very fast little android box with great wifi reception. I've had a lot of android boxes and this is one of the best I've tried. Kodi runs very smoothly and has loaded addons. There are a couple of small issues I have had with it though -1. The playback is quite dark in kodi - there are instructions online that say I need to update the bios of the box to fix the issue - but this is for a different brand of box the same box, and I can't get it to upgrade with this box. There's no support website for this particular brand of T95Z plus box and the OTA button doesn't upgrade the bios even though I'm sure it's on the older version. Any advice on this would be helpful please.2. Second issue is playback sometimes has a few dropped frames from time to time as if the graphics accelerator isn't quite keeping up even at regular 1080p 30fps in Kodi.Final thoughts, if you're used to the kodi ecosystem and understand that every resource doesn't work all the time then this little box is worth it's low cost. The remote control is pretty good too but doesn't have an air mouse feature which is expected, so you should get a keyboard remote. I got one with a backlight and it's really good.

T957 Android TV Box
I writing this review on the T95Z Amlogic Android Box as I basically want to give a no frills unbiased view. I have had this Android box about two weeks now and I am absolutely loving it, what a fantastic bit of kit this is!! It beats me why anyone would sign up to any service provider who charge to download films or watch sports,or anything else they can get away with charging you, yes I`` talking about Sky, Netflix ,BT vision, TalkTalk TV etc, don`t do it, you can get it all for FREE, yeah baby totally FREEEEEE! I`m not just talking all the very latest movies there is sooooo much more,- complete box sets -Game of Thrones,Breaking Bad,Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Arrow, House of Cards, Vikings, etc etc, in fact just about anything you can think of, oh and not forgetting music as well.Personally I love my movies and I love to OD on the box sets all for FREEEEE!! Ok, you have got to have fibre Broadband as this little box is streaming all its content from links provided on the internet. For watching movies in HD you have to have a decent broadband connection otherwise you get the blue circle of death i.e buffering!About the T95Z Amlogic Android BoxIt comes in a robust presentation box with the contents securely packaged. The Android box itself is no bigger than the palm of your hand and is hexagonal in shape which is a little different but I like it. On powering up the device there is a blue display which tells you exactly what is going on i.e booting up. Once start up is complete the current time is digitally displayed in blue. There are a lot people who have reviewed this Android box I am not going to wax lyrically about its specifications and performance, needless to say the spec is high enough to play 4K movies ( in lamens terms double HD, if your TV can play 4K films then you will be able to see a pimple on a flies backside at 1000metres!) with no buffering at all. This T95Z Android box comes fully loaded with all the apps needed to start watching movies etc. Simply connect the device either by ethernet lead or connect wirelessly to your router, connect your Android box to your TV by the supplied HDMI lead and you should be good to go. I brought a separate 4 meter HDMI lead as the HDMI lead supplied is not very long. The Android box will probably update itself which may take a little time just let it do it`s updates. The remote supplied is adequate it takes the small AAA batteries which are not supplied. You may want to get a hand held querty key pad which may make navigation around the different menus and searching for content a little easier but it`s not essential. If you have mobile phone using the Android system you will be familiar with the home screen presented to you on initial start up. There are loads of you tube videos dealing with initial set up getting all the updates and general tutorials for getting the best out of your system, (have a look at this guy simply copy and paste the link into your browser- [...] I would encourage you look them up if you have any problems or worries. The main application all these Android boxes use is called Kodi, this is the main application which makes everything work.A word of warning, if your router is from BT as is mine ( I have an old hub 5) the main Kodi application does not work!! I have been on a journey of total fustration because I could not get any of the preloaded applications to work. No movies no box sets- nothing :( !! It wasn`t until I did a bit of research I found the answer :) There is a setting in the BT Hub called Smart Set Up this has got to be disabled. I have provided a link which will guide you through the whole process at:[...]The other issue I have found if I connect the Android Box to my BT router via the ethernet lead, the Android TV box works great but all other devices which connect remotely to the router via wifi simply do not work. Its as though the router disappears and simply does not register on any wifi enabled device. So I simply disconnected the ethernet lead from the router and hey presto my router was now visible again to all wifi devices. So I connected my Android box to the router via the wifi signal and all was well again with the world!! This is probably a local problem indicative to my router, but its worth throwing it out there in case anyone else has problems with the Kodi application and their BT Hub. As for the other routers available to you from the main broadband suppliers I can only assume kodi works fine.So long story short, are there cheaper Androd boxes on the market? Yes there are, some with exactly the same specifications as this one, others have a lower spec but seem to do the job ok according to other reviews on similar products. I recommend this Android TV box to any one. I hope this review has been of use to you if you get any problems feel free to pose a question and I will do my best to answer. Happy viewing and keep it free baby!!Regards-Terry

Excellent Box with Android 6
Obviously lots of Android TV boxes out with prices varying but with lots of reviews from people who have been sent the boxes for free. Sorry but I really don't trust those reviews!! Went for this one after lots of research, as the spec was good and used latest Android version. With Prime, it was here next day in an attractive box and packaged well. I have Kodi on a firestick but needed a box that would connect via an Ethernet port. Out the box this works either by connecting a lan or going in to settings and entering your wifi password. The menu is simple to use and selecting Kodi is obvious. You see lots of reviews slating one device or another because of poor streaming most of the time this is the site the stream is coming from and nothing to do with the box. Having got Kodi already I know my way around and know which streams to watch that are reliable. I was going to put Pulse build on this via Ares but have decided to go native and add the addons I require, had Exodus already but I added SALTS and Sportsmania. It does exactly what it should do and is quick, handling 1080 streams no problem where on the firestick I always stick with the 720's.I'd recommend this and the nice touch is the led light on the box which can be switched off from the remote if you don't like :).

A very nice piece of kit but Iβm not sure about it being 4K, works well & is stable, easy to use, remote control is average but it works

Very poor quality - Update
Only lasted two weeks before it failed to even update or even start up. Re flashing didn't help either so a complete waste of time and money.Update March - Replacement sent and all is working still. Trust redeemed!
