Smooth operation when opening,closing the doors

So, I'm kind of on the fence about the track. it comes in multiple short pieces that fit together to make a long track. It seems to be working ok, and seems pretty sturdy, but handling multiple pieces of rail was tedious, trying to make sure they stayed in alignment and all. on the other hand i didn't really need a second person helping me balance a long, heavy, awkward piece of track, but having a lot of shorter pieces also made the measuring for the drill holes a bit more complicated. I just don't know; the door hardware worked great, but in the future if I need to install another barn door track, I will probably go back to just a single, awkward piece of track; in spite of the awkwardness of handling a long and heavy piece of metal, it was definitely easier to ensure the track was level and the drill holes aligned on a single long track vs multiple pieces.

Instructions are limited to watching a video and trying to decipher written instruction booklet. In the end I was able to figure it out and installed my doors with perfect measurements. It took much longer than I had hoped even with my experience in home remodeling and DIY projects. The screws for the hinges are not the best quality. I ended up stripping the heads off of several and had to purchase my own replacements. The rest of the hardware is okay.After hanging the doors my first big issue was getting them to open. The first two doors open fine but the hinges on the next door will not move to open. I had to install another handle on the third door to pull and get the hinge to break free from the closed position.Overall, I would not do this again and recommend a different solution to folding barn doors. Unfortunately , due to space considerations, this was the only option I had.

DO NOT DO IT!!!Let’s start by mentioning that my husband and I built our own house, so we are kinda handy.1. The directions have no words, just pictures.2.The rail pieces did not easily fit together. We had to file them, but they do not line up to make a smooth rolling door.3.No matter how much we pull on the rail it will not give us a straight bar. It dips in the middle.4. Scratched the paint on the walls before installing from sharp pieces.5. Installs above the header of the door. They give you wooden dowels to use a a type of drywall screw. Even after drilling big holes and installing the wooden dowels it collapsed the drywall underneath and made a large divot.Please for the love of everything that is holy do not purchase this product! I’d return it if I hadn’t already scratch, drilled, files, and basically violated the product to make it hang on the wall. We are still happily married, but he is kinda mad at me.

My handyman guy made 4 panel door which was required extra parts. i thought i have to return this order something as. but I just message the seller and they made extra link for me to order the extra parts I need and shipping was so fast. I was happy.
