Low noise and low vibration make this trimmer ideal for use on young or nervous animals, who may be spooked by louder trimmers. As standard, the trimmer is suitable for trimming fine to normal hair on horses, show cattle and for dog coats that require a #10 or #15 blade. Note, different dog breeds and coat types require different blades. Other a5 snap-on blades are available to purchase separately and can be fitted to the trimmer so that it can be used on a wider variety of animals and dog breeds with different types of coat. Avoid, these are not fit for purpose.
The rate of vibration is so slow you can see the blade wobbling. It only works if you're going completely straight against the grain and there is no lose skin, any bumps (such as the shoulder blade), you need to keep your contact absolutely consistent. Otherwise you will get tracks like corn rows, patches where the hair is the advertised 1.5 mm but the rest is longer. Your horse will look like it's got a disease. I can't accept that the vibration rate is some 2300 per minute. I've seen battery operated dog clippers cut horse hair far better. I'm hoping to get a refund as the product is not fit for purpose. You can't do a full clip on a fine haired horse with these, you can't even trim to a good standard. Avoid !
