I thought if I bought something from Europe, namely Denmark, rather than the cheap crap that we get from China, I would be receiving a high quality product. To my chagrin, and after only one use, the black paint by the top of all four oil canisters chipped off. Now the top 1/8 of the oil canister is silver, and the rest black. Looks as though I am going to have to wait until the oil is depleted and then spray a "high temperature" paint on it to see if that works. You would think by paying $1129.98 for four lamps, you'd be getting something that not only looks good, but would be of quality workmanship.

The torch design is very clever, with a self-sealing mechanism that allows you to fill the reservoir without touching the oil. The design is modern. The flame is very nice, the "Danish Oil" burns cleanly and without any odor.The problem is that these nice torches are shipped with cheap, plastic stakes. Both my stakes broke within two weeks of installation and now I'm trying to find something more secure that the torches can be placed on.

Was not sure what to expect when I purchased these new desiged TIKI torches. However, they look and operate great. I enjoy the larger flame that is produced when you burn these torches. Furthermore, I contacted the company and asked if good ol' Citronella oil could be used instead of the pricey oil they suggest... they said yes, no problem. I have decided to use the veggie oil that came with these tourches for the table lamps (no smoke). I would purchase again. Seem pricey, but each comes with 750ml (25oz) of oil.
