Scripture is Supreme!
What a refreshing little book! Though it's easy to assume we already "know" Scripture is Supreme, we are living in a time when people (including Christians) are sliding further and further from the truth, as they move further and further away from Scripture. In an age of massive word-twisting and shifting, there has never been a more important time for this message than NOW. This little book is a clarion call through all the other muffled voices, reminding us, that Scripture is Supreme, because God is Supreme. It is the Word of God that reveals to us the Son of God, and the will of God. It is here where we learn what God says, and also how to put it into practice. Forsaking this "simple" truth is the difference between rock and sand, order and chaos, hope and utter devastation. Not only is it absolutely essential, but life-giving. His Word is life, I pray that many hold fast to it, and in doing so, hold fast to Him, as they read it.A favorite quote, "True wisdom is to put the words of Jesus into practice. True confidence in life and death is found only by building your life on God's Word. Other sources of authority might be helpful. But to build your life on them is to build on sand. They will not withstand the storms of life, still less the waters of death." pg. 77

A Simple, Resourceful, and Edifying Read !!!
Tim Chester does a fantastic job in breaking down why Scripture is supreme in the hearts of Christian's today. He does this by simply answering simple questions of how it's supreme and what it means to the reader today. This is a resourceful read for any pastor, student, or church member. It is vital for Christian's to live, know, and breath Scripture so that we may know him better. Lastly, I don't believe any Christian can walk away from this book without knowing the depths of God's love through the gift of His Word to us. I'm edified by reflecting on how God makes Himself known through His Word in today's world. Excellent book.
