Custard/Atlantic recording artist James Blunt's hugely anticipated new album Some Kind Of Trouble finds Blunt in a delightfully upbeat frame of mind, capturing the five-time Grammy-nominated troubadour's newfound sense of spontaneity and excitement. Some Kind Of Trouble marks a new chapter for Blunt, who sees his internationally successful first two albums as a kind of matched pair - action and reaction. The album - which follows 2007's acclaimed All The Lost Souls- will be heralded by the infectious single, "Stay The Night." Other highlights include the bittersweet "These Are The Words," the trenchant, pointed "Superstar" and the powerful, unsentimental ballad, "No Tears," which Blunt views as the album's anchor, describing it as "the summing up of a life," explaining that, "There are certain songs along the way that are milestones, that define a writer to themselves. ‘No Tears' is my milestone on this album."With global album sales now at a staggering 18 million, James Blunt is without question among the most gifted and successful singer/songwriters of his generation. He first captured the world's attention in 2005 with his 2x RIAA platinum-certified debut, Back To Bedlam, which featured the history-making #1 classic, "You're Beautiful." All The Lost Souls followed two years later, debuting atop the album charts in 10 countries and earning unanimous critical acclaim for such hits as "1973" and "Same Mistake."

album three and no letting up
I remember being in a store when I first heard BACK TO BEDLAM and brought it there and then,I knew we had a new major star in the making. Now we have album 3 and I think it's his best so far,I just can't stop singing STAY THE NIGHT and the rest is as good, his songwriting is improving and his voice is amazing.I am going to see him in concert for the first time on the 21st Feb and I know he will be brilliant!Expect an update later. Its hard to see him bettering this for album No4.Well what can I say,he was FANTASTIC the best concert I have been to,the venue was packed and James was electric, one of the best Live performers around today. This new album sounded even better in a live setting,I cannot put into words how good his show was.Lets hope there will be a DVD from this tour, and James please come back to Nottingham soon.

The James Blunt standard...
I love most of the tracks, a couple will grow on me I'm sure, his voice is so unique and his song writing is so underrated in my opinion. His collaborations shows adaptability of which I admire. Melodies in his songs are at times seem plain, with no disrespect intended, then some are very clever lyrically, though the music is equally as good to excellent. This album is not disappointing in the least. For my taste it may not be his best album, however the standard is still there.

Don't judge an album by the BBC
Let me start off by saying that Amazon were wrong to have a review from someone at the BBC under the product description. Poor Blunty has had a bad time in the press for "signing like a girl" and being a "feminist". I used to get harrassed for enjoying his music and this BBC review was obviously done by an anti-Blunt.All they do is put him down. I don't remember seeing a single positive point made by the reviewer. And I thought Amazon wanted to sell this product so they can make a profit, along with Blunt himself? It makes no sense. If you haven't got nothing good to say, don't say it! Or find a new reviewer - they don't care, they get paid for putting people down!Anyway, being a big Blunt fan, I enjoyed the album and would recommend it to ANYONE. Yes, anyone! Why? Because Some Kind Of Trouble differs from his two previous albums - it's upbeat, happy and different in a great way. Although his other albums had so much emotion that today's modern singers have none of - i.e all these rappers and singers who "throw thier hands up in the air sometimes, saying ayoooo" - this is James Blunt at his new best. In an interview, he said, "This is music I, myself, would like to hear." And that's the best description! I think there is only one song like his old ones, called "If Time is All I have". Despite this, it still differs from his other songs: a sad song in an upbeat manner. Love it...If the customer would just listen to "Dangerous", "Superstar" and "Stay the Night", they will see what I mean by "upbeat" and the "New Blunt" - upbeat, happy but still pure emotion in his lyrics!I can finally dance/sing along to James Blunt and smile. And I love it!Roll on his 2011 Tour! :)Peace out - and remember: don't judge it by the BBC!

Ignore the BBC!
Just wanted to make my first review with Amazon a comment on this album. Greatly enjoyed his previous work and came here to read the review before buying this or not. Quite surprised to see such a caustic review from the BBC, it makes one wonder if the reviewer has an axe to grind. This is not a masterwork to sit with the greatest albums ever written, as the BBC seems to suggest it should be. What it is, is very pleasant pop, which had me loading up the first album again for another welcome listen.

Best Blunt
Terzo album di James ricco di riferimenti agli anni 80, ispirato alla spensierata e folle vita di quel periodo. Comprato a 5€ per chi ama il genere country-pop é un best buy da non perdere.

My FAVorite Artist!
I have 4 James Blunt albums. I'm having to reorder two, as it seems someone stole 3 of my CDs out of my car. His voice is so unique, tender and soulful. I don't get how he is more popular. There definitely is a lot of pain expressed in his songs, but his voice just lifts me to the clouds!
