Just took up pipe smoking a while ago. Realized the need for some tips for my pipe as it started showing some scratches from wear and tear. The tips fit perfectly and work great. Delivery was fast with no problems. Would definitely buy from them again.

Bought these for a friend who smokes a pipe and was getting sores on his gums from the mouth piece. Since using he has not had an issue and says the are very comfortable.

Soft bits or Softy bits are for the most part the same, no matter where you buy them. They're made of silicone rubber, which is food grade and inert. Meaning they have no taste of their own. If they taste like rubber, then they were made with who knows what kind of recycled or industrial rubber. Kind of hard to enjoy a pipe if you also smell/taste like you have a car tire in your mouth.These are top quality Silicone rubber. The main advantage from this seller (Hot Weed) is you get 5 small and 5 large bits. Every other listing on Amazon, without exception is one size only, large. From my experience pipe smoking, most pipe stems take the small size. You can use the larger size in a smaller stem if you wrap black electrical tape 4 or 5 time around the stem, then slip on the larger soft bit. It works, but not very aesthetically pleasing. There was a problem with my initial order, and the seller (Hot Weed) immediately reshipped my order. Kudo's to them, but it was still from China, and took several weeks before I got it. Another point, considering these are shipped from China, They should offer 10 of each, not 5. A total 10 of these is $9.99. 1.00 each, and you have to wait 3 weeks or so for delivery. The seller is good, but the product is relatively expensive. Online at one of the largest pipe and tobacco dealers, Softy Bits are .45 cents for small, and .55 cents for the large. and cheaper in larger quantities. Considering what Iv'e learned from this transaction, and from what Iv'e seen available on Amazon. My future purchases for this item will be from the mentioned lead to a USA source.

they work ok and are good value but i put one on my Savinelli 320 unfinished pipe and it split in a few days when clenching in my mouth

I'm just glad these little babies even exist! I'm a clencher and use these on most of my pipes. prevents you from chewing through the stem and even breaking it.

I wasn't sure which size I needed. I end up using the small size. But since I was using them on my bagpipe practice chanter. This isn't your standard review. But very durable and works great very well made.
