Easy to install and great performance
I had been thinking about this for a year. My 2014 F-150 Sync 2 system was dated and I wanted CarPlay. The reviews convinced me this was the best so I purchased. Very happy. Some notes:1. Buy a good set of tools to pull pins from the dash. None of these are easy enough to fudge it with a screwdriver, and I've seen less expensive tools break on the installation videos.2. There are several very good instructional videos on YouTube. Make sure you watch it from beginning to end before beginning the install, and be prepared to refer to it while you're working.3. I set aside an entire afternoon for this project, but was finished in less than an hour. It's very straightforward. Pay attention to the bracket orientation, you'll need to remove it from the old Sync 2 and it's easy to put it on backward when you're installing it on the new system.I've done some minor work on the inside of my truck, but not enough to make me a mechanic, and it was easy. Having the functionality of Sync 3 in that truck is just amazing.

Excellent quality and outstanding customer service
Definite 5 star review here. I have a 2013 F150 Ecoboost FX2 Sport. It already had the Sync infotainment system but it was factory from 2013, the maps were outdated, the touchscreen was laggy and every touch had a delayed response, and my bluetooth started acting up. Found this and decided to give it a shot as I like the new Sync system. I ordered it and got it several days before it said it would arrive. It installed rather easily, but the screen had an issue where when I put the truck into reverse, the camera had terrible quality and looked pixelated and discolored. When put back into drive, the discoloration stayed and made the rest of the menus look terrible. I contacted the seller and they got back to me very quickly. It was decided I needed a replacement and they sent me one that I received within 2 days. This one works perfectly, no issues with backup camera, the screen is clear and bright and it is very responsive. Android auto works perfectly well also. Overall I am very satisfied and highly recommend this product and seller if you're in the market to upgrade from the crappy old system.

Apim replaced
This was the solution on my ford f-150 with a black screen. This is a common problem with ford. The screen slowly gets worse until the screen finally went black. Ordered from this company, you give them your vin # then you will get it within a couple weeks. Half the cost of the dealer. Very easy to install. Well worth it.

Legit Hardware. Solid tech support. Worth the upgrade. 2014 Ford F250 Platinum
This is mostly a seller review. Go to end for product review.Always a tough choice when looking at products with similar price points. This one was about $75 more than another one on amazon. However, the reviews on tech support sold me. Was contacted quickly to confirm my vin. Unit was delivered well ahead of projected timeline (I think it estimated 14-17 days and i got it in 6). When the unit showed up (USPS) I installed it quickly.Unit went in fine in about 10 minutes, all connections were solid and fitment was perfect. Display powered on and I was able to get Android Auto set up as well as my Bluetooth connection. I spent about ten minutes messing with settings and stuff and then got out of the truck (shut the ignition off). When I got back in the display wouldn't work. I could hear the radio, change media, see AA connecting to my phone and even hear the touch feedback when i pressed on the display, but no image. I contacted the seller through Amazon and got a message back with a number to call. From that point on I was working directly with a singular point of contact via voice and text. My next concern was that the seller might try to send out just a new display or find a way to blame me or the carrier for the problem. No such thing happened. He said it might be just the display but decided to send out a whole new system anyway. He also let me keep the portions of the install that I had done (usb hub and gps antenna) so that i wouldn't have to reinstall them. We talked on Thursday evening and on Saturday morning I got a text with confirmation that the new unit was programmed and shipped. It arrived Monday afternoon.Second time around went easier than the first and this time everything worked perfectly and has continued to do so.All in all a great experience. Good, solid product backed by the kind of seller you wish you could get at a service department at Ford.System review: If you're looking at this you probably already know the features. Good system, like the android auto. Not a fan of switching back and forth between screens when the phone is connected but you get used to it.Two huge pluses! + one small one that I love1. The ford navigation still works!? I don't know why I didn't' expect it to but it does. I was under the impression that the ford system wouldn't work but it does. I honestly got used to it with sync 2 and am happy it's there for when i don't want to connect my phone.2. When you are in the truck listening to the radio and have your phone connected via Bluetooth (not the cable) and you open up youtube or Instagram or any media with audio basically. The audio automatically outputs to the speakers. I HATED the fact that it wouldn't do that with the sync 2 system. If you know what I'm talking about then you will love it. If you don't then it won't matter anyway. The small plus: When you use the "seek" buttons on your steering wheel it still pages through your radio presets! I've heard a lot of people complain about that but I love it. If you know you know.GPS Antenna- I was a little thrown off by the GPS antenna because it has a Ford factory bracket which, if you've watched all the videos, is not normally included. It actually looked like it was made to fit the angle of the dash directly behind the head unit so that's where i originally installed it. However, when i reinstalled the new head I removed the two small screws that held the unit to the plate and put some new 3M plastic velcro tape and put it farther up under the dash so it would get a better signal through more of the glass. Otherwise, gps works great and doesn't seem to have any problem picking up the signal.I think if you're looking at keeping tech up to date, refreshing an older but nice truck, or you have a malfunction with your current system this is a no brainer. Basically, if you've come this far, go ahead and buy it.

Genuine Ford Parts, works great!
I installed this in a 2013 F-250, total install time was 35 minutes. Everything works like it came from the factory, heated and cooled seats, climate control, back up camera, volume controls, steering wheel controls, etc. Everything plugged right in and fits great. I was surprised to see that the main components all had ford part stickers on them. When I placed my order Amazon didn’t ask me for my vin, so I contacted the seller through Amazon and sent it to them. They responded within an hour and the unit arrived pre-programmed as a result. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from sync 2 to sync 3. This fixed all my Bluetooth connectivity issues and added CarPlay.
