Always wanted something like this so I bought it in a whim. I am sure glad I did.The setup was easy, you may need a screwdriver to tighten the screws once you thread them by hand at first. The magnifying glass comes with its own screw off handle that means it can is both attachable (as seen in the imagine) to the main holder AND acts as a stand alone magnifying glass, which I love.It's already made so many projects easier and I don't regret my decision to buy.

I used this soldering station for the first time to repair a professional-grade RCA cable, and I must say that the experience was very comfortable. As mentioned by another user, adjusting the magnifying glass to align it with the workpiece is not easy, but like any other tool, it takes practice to master it. I also recommend being cautious when using the soldering iron near the clip protectors, as they can melt. Despite these minor issues, I am satisfied with the product. It feels sturdy and of high quality at a good price.

Short version: Functionally, I think it'll be quite good. 1 star off for mismatched quality and appearance of magnifier.I was impressed with the heaviness of the metal plate, which will help it to stay in place while working. The flex arms also feel high quality. The magnifying glass, on the other hand, feels quite cheap, and the cheap gold appearance doesn't match the high quality black and yellow of the rest of the product.

The base is heavy. I was surprised. That's a good thing. Haven't used it yet, but looked at it. Seems acceptable quality 🙂

This is exactly as advertised and it does have glass lens however the lens is just a little small for my needs but I am legally blind so should be fine for most hobbyist people. I would like to buy extra arms tho but I can't seem to find them.
