Helped with a crack on our glass-top stove
We recently discovered a crack on our glass-top stove. It's a GE Profile, and we were told a new top would be $300-$500. The crack is about 6" long, forming a diagonal close to the front right corner. Before purchasing a new top, I decided to give this a try. It's worked really well keeping the crack sealed, and since it's heat-resistant it stands up to pans and the general heat of the stove top. (Note that the crack is not on or adjacent to any of the burners!). Good product, good price.

Used 3m products for over 60 years. Never been disappointed!
Taped high temperature electrical connections. Worked as expected.

Great product, good price
This cloth tape is useful for making sure the new industry standard ribbon cables stay in place in the little snap closed ribbon connectors. Will buy again, comes in other sizes this size works perfect for us. Glad I found it. Great product.

I didn’t know this stuff still existed.
I use this cloth electrical tape to rebuild laptop battery packs for laptops built in the 90s. Packs from this time frame often were protected with this tape. I figured I would continue using this for the rebuilds. This tape is also thinner than traditional electrical tape. Space is often limited in a laptop battery. This tape can be used as an alternative to fish paper. It lasts longer than fish paper as well. Fish paper falls apart after 20 years. The cloth electrical tape has a chance as long as the battery didn’t explode. My tape happened to smell like smoked meats. I’m not sure if this is normal or not, but I do enjoy the smell of smoked meats.

Purchased to help seal and strengthen probes for the Maverick ET-732 wireless thermometer
I am meticulous about keeping my smoker toys clean and well taken care of. The probes on newer Maverick products are a bit of a weak point where the mesh-covered wires join with the temperature sensor, both food and chamber. Even if maintained properly and protected from kinking, they can short in a moist environment like a water smoker. One failed recently after only four uses. Maverick replaced it without question so Kudos to them.I did online research and others suggested protecting the connection point with heat shrink wrap to waterproof the probe. I did so and went a step further and wrapped the connection and shrink wrap with the glass cloth electrical tape to add strength and support to the connection. The tape is rated to 266F but it has held nicely at temps up to 275F on the smoker. I'm very pleased with the purchase and know I will get years of use out of the probes now.

Works well
Needed this as a replacement for regular electric tape because of a high heat application. So far this has worked extremely well. I will update if this changes.

Worked as it should
used it on some high heat electrical connections and it seems to be working fine.
