I’m a tea drinker including matcha. This is my favorite green matcha tea, plus it makes more cups than another popular brand that requires 4 scoops per cup. This tea is just one rounded scoop. Easy to prepare, I drink this often.

I'm a tea drinker and matcha is one of my favorite. This tea is much more flavorful and enjoyable to drink. It comes with a wooden spoon that holds 1/4 of product. Per directions, you need to add 4 oz hot water, 4 oz milk, and your favorite sweetener to 1/4 tsp of the product. But it is too light for my taste and I put at least twice as much product to get the taste I like.I like that it is vegan, gluten free with no additives. It is 100% certified organic by USDA powdered spices. It is very enjoyable to drink but it is a little over my budget when I use 2 scoops instead of one.

I'm actually not a matcha fan, but wanted this for an option of green tea instead of black. They state the high quality of the matcha, and I would agree. It tastes good! I can taste both the matcha and chai. Compared to their other types, I'd say this chai is more mild in flavor. I like to mix this with the star anise or original.

Do you like masala chai spices? Do you like matcha? I never thought to combine them but they're quite lovely together. This product is easy to use and includes an adorable tiny bamboo spoon inside the jar. I did have to dig around in the matcha powder to find it, though. It' has a nice mellow flavor, but overpriced especially considering the tin was 1/3 empty when I opened it!

The Blue Lotus Chai matcha tea is pretty good for the most part. It comes with a little wooden spoon for measuring and preparing. Making the tea is pretty simple: 4oz hot water, 4oz warm milk (any kind), and 1 spoon of the chai. Personally, I think the chai is too diluted using only 1 spoon for every 8oz, it comes out with actual flavor using 2 spoons with 8oz. Because of that, it makes much less than 65 cups per 2oz can. Yet, it does have a nice spicy flavor. It has a bluish green color when you first start mixing it together, but it eventually takes the color of the milk into a discolored white-green. Overall, this chai matcha is pretty decent for tea drinkers, but a big no for people who only drink starbucks chai.

Let me start with what disappoints me with many spiced chais: overbearing black pepper, clove, or cinnamon that overwhelms other flavors (if other flavors have been included); a decent flavor balance that minimized the spice content to save a buck and, therefore, deprive me of a full-flavored cuppa; and an inconsistent blend that fails to provide the a good flavor profile each time. Blue Lotus Chai’s Organic Matcha Masala Chai succeeds in avoiding all of these shortcomings!Flavor profile: baseline note of clean green tea (i.e., non-grassy) complemented with (in this order of prominence) black pepper, cardamom, ginger and nutmeg, clove, and cinnamonThe matcha is premium, ceremonial grade, as it dissolves wonderfully in hot water. The spices are finely ground, but there are some residuals left at the bottom of the cup. There should be residuals of the spices, after all, or it would be a sign that the company uses flavorings or extracts instead of the original thing.Value: for the price, I can’t recommend this matcha enough. It’s competitive as far as matcha prices go, and the flavor profile is some of the best I’ve had for masala chai.
