works great, easy to deploy
So far so good. I tried a nylon strap and the material stretched around the snap and made it unusable. This one has held up for a couple months. I have found that the best way to deploy handcuffs is to bring your thumb down on top of the snap to undo it wile grabbing the cuffs. the last strap I bought said to pull the cuffs up to break the snap. That really doesn't work, but with practice, pushing down with your thumb works great. I don't advise putting it on the back of your belt. My coworker has one, and he's always loosing his cuffs and doesn't realize it. It will catch on the back of chairs, or just unsnap if it's not snapped properly and he won't see the cuffs fall. Being able to see them and check them frequently is good. I've only had mine come unsnapped when I"m doing really physical stuff like loading a dead animal in a truck (game warden). If they fall off when I'm doing that, I just put them in my pocket until I'm done.

Sturdiness
At first the snap was hard. After a few times, It got easier to snap, and works great

Great product
Use this every day on patrol. Keep it on the front which is convenient compared to the standard handcuff holder. Clasp has worn in well and maintains its security while being pulled on but still pops open with the proper force. Would recommend to anyone!

Quality & Affordable Handcuff Strap
Economical and quality handcuff strap. On the front of my duty belt, I used to carry two sets of standard handcuffs in a pouch/holder. This added too much weight to the front of my duty belt; therefore, to equally distribute the weight, I decided to use two handcuff straps; and place them along with my handcuffs at the back of my duty belt: left and right sides. This gives me more room on my duty belt, and lessons the weight. From a tactical perspective, having handcuffs at the front of the duty belt makes it easier to get to one's handcuffs, when wrestling with a suspect; or attempting to handcuff a suspect. In summary, I am pleased with my purchase.

Sucks
This is the second one I bought. The button basically locks in and is insanely hard to unbutton to take the cuffs off. It’s not only a safety issue but also very annoying.

I just picked it up and added to my duty belt.....
I just picked up and added to my duty belt. So far, I like that the product is made of quality leather that seems like it will hold up in tough situations. Buttons/snaps are sturdy. Leather needs to be broken in but will come with time. Overall seems like a great product. Everyone who uses them in my department has nothing but great things to say.

If this IS indeed what you want....
It works as designed. It does. Quality material, craftsmanship and design. Therefore, I should give it 5 stars.... right?Where these lack is ultimately "officer safety".My problem: 98% of the time, my cuff case in the front is all I use. My experience is that I need to have a pair of cuffs in the back of my duty belt in the event I'm on the ground leaning over/on/against the bad guy and cannot get to my cuff case in front (which happened to me in corrections). My Solution: I don't like any bulky items on the back of my duty belt so I thought I'd get two of these strap cuff holders. I placed one at my 7-8 o'clock and one at my 4-5 o'clock thinking I can access either one depending on which hand is available to grab a cuff during a struggle.Ultimate determination: My Chief pointed out his experience and concerns for this type of cuff holder in this location (back of the duty belt). He had me turn around (facing away from him) then grabbed a hold of my cuffs and pulled violently. He practically lifted me off the ground (he's 5'9 and a plump, round 250lbs - I'm 5'11" and 210lbs). He had ultimate control of me and I could do nothing about it! The snaps used on these straps will only come apart if pulled from the top down (by design to keep the bad guy from pulling your cuffs from your belt by simply grabbing a hold of your cuffs and pulling on them). Ergo, once someone decides to grab your cuffs and they're located behind you, you're being led around as if you were a horse wearing a bridle. You're now a victim. One could conceive that regular snaps which release from any direction would keep you from being led around as if on a leash.Perhaps one could utilize this cuff carrier in front. Please, never in back!

Worth the money
Awesome for LE work! I will say I wouldn’t recommend these to be used for road work only because of how loud you are when when walking!
