Another 90 clear and useful daily lessons to work through to improve your Japanese
This book continues on from the very useful Volume One and covers the rest of the grammar in the JLPT N4, all the grammar in the JLPT N3 and a bit of the grammar from the JLPT N2. The lesson points are made in kana and kanji and the romaji has been dropped from this book as it's an intermediate text and learners should be used to the kana by now. Having both the kana and kanji in each example sentence is useful and helps make some unfamiliar kanji more familiar. This text also contains a number of readings so the learner can practise their reading although the author writes that at this stage we also need to be looking for extra things to read to improve our Japanese. This book also has a comprehensive side panel index as well as a clickable table of contents which really helps move around the content easily. All in all this is a very useful book and I hope the author puts out a further one to cover the rest of JLPT N2 and JLPT N1.Highly recommended.

Not what I though
You have to be able to read Japanese characters to use this book it does not have the sounds spelled out in the western alphabet characters.

Perfect for intermediate-beginner learner
This is perfect for people who already know katakana-hiragana and are looking for step 2, 200 pages (this is the second book though)

Overall It’s a Good Book!
Just managed to go through an initial random page turning over. It is indeed a very good follow-up book for brushing up the Spoken Japanese already picked up from the volume one of the same book. I felt the print and the paper could have been of a little better quality though. I didn’t come across much Romaji translations in this book unlike the volume one. Apart from the paper and print, less of Romaji translations is possibly the single let-down point for anyone who aims to learn/brush up his/her Japanese language skills and fluency. But overall this is a great book for anyone who has picked up a little spoken Japanese and grew a considerable acquaintance with Hiragana and Katakana scripts from the volume one (or otherwise).
