Red Light Therapy for Face

Tried this for two uses & unfortunately had to return. The electrodes that it comes with felt cheap and awkward to install. In fact on the second use one of the electrodes came totally apart! They were also quite painful and ultimately a big factor in causing me to return it.The included instructions were for a totally different remote system. The included remote called itself a skin lightening system (which is problematic in itself and I never would support a company that markets this), not a skin health system. The mask itself was bulky and uncomfortable to wear but would probably be reasonable if it weren’t for all these other issues.I will be looking into better systems or be considering alternatives after this experience.

I bought this mask for the red light benefits only, not really knowing what to expect for results- but I've gotten to the point in my late thirties where even retinoids aren't enough anymore to stave off the aging. I trialed this thing 5x/week for 6 weeks, and am pleasantly surprised at the noticeable increase in skin plumpness and firmness, smoother texture, and softened fine lines. My undereye circles have diminished as well, and my jowl area has started tightening up. So it works!Here's what I noticed about the mask itself:PROS: The little lights on this thing are not weak. Toward the end of the session the skin starts to feel warm; and the first couple times I actually experienced tingling with that (which was exciting). So whatever they're doing, they're working. I also liked that there was shielding around the eyes.CONS: The mask is not as uncomfortable as some of these reviews make it out to be- it's tolerable. However, it IS very awkward and somewhat inconvenient to wear- there's no strap or anything to hold it on your head/face, so you have to kind of just balance it on your face when you're lying down, is the best way I've figured out how to use it. The shielding around the eyes can definitely stand to be softer; they do dig a little when those are what the whole mask is balancing on. All in all, I don't think it's that big of a deal for the result you're getting, but if I had any criticisms about this product, that would be it.All in all, I think this item is worth getting, and I think it's great value for the price.

I was skeptical on whether or not this red light diodes would be worth it for me and whether or not this would be a good product to test. However It works for me. By that I mean it has lessened the visability of my pores and has made my skin look better. It seems like it helps with acne as well.To be clear, I got the one that has no cord and you just charge it with a usb cable. I know people are having trouble getting it to work, so I'll tell you how. You will see lettering at the top of the middle of the mask. If you put your hand over it, it will beep. Now, if you do pass your hand in front of the same part quickly, it will turn on. Each time you swipe your hand quickly it will go to a new mode.What I do is hold my hand there and after it beeps, i swipe my hand quickly over it again to get red light. Then I use it till it turns off. Then I turn it on again but this time, I do short swipes until it hits red for the 2nd time, which is about 5 or so swipes. That mode is a cycle between all colors, which is nice.I would say that this could be more comfortable on the top of the head. I also think it could use a longer lasting battery. It will go through 2 or so cycles, like the ones I listed in the paragraph above, but not much longer than that. I worry about how long the batteries will last.

I got this for Christmas, and used it one time for 10 minutes before bed. The eye padding was uncomfortable but not painful so I left it on for the full 10 minutes. When I took the mask off, my under eyes were extremely dark and puffy when they have never looked like that before. It looked like I hadn’t slept in a week all of a sudden when all day my face was perfectly fine. Then the next morning when I got up, I had full bruises around my eyes like I’d been punched. I am so angry. I tried getting pictures but the camera won’t even do it justice. Immediately returning this, do not waste your money. Save up and buy a mask from a reputable brand.

I purchased this for my wife after she developed a bad rash on her face. Several people had mentioned for her to try light therapy to see if it might help. This unit offered the color light and other functions that we thought might help with her condition.Well I can say that after using this for over a month, we are seeing a marked improvement in her skin. The instructions state which color light therapy is best for which skin condition and after following the guidelines for several hours a day it does appear to be helping.Positives:Comes with chin/neck light attachmentComes with mild electric stimulation for the skinEasily programmable for color, intensity and duration of the treatment.Easily configured for the features you want to use.Seals around the eye openings prevent the light from directly entering your eyesNegatives:The electric stimulation pads become uncomfortable over time even when electric stimulation is not in use (they can be removed).Longer therapy duration potions would be nice. You can just reprogram the controller each time.The adjustment straps do not appear that they will last very long however so far they are working fine.In general this appears to be a valuable addition to anyone needing to help their skin. While I'm sure there is something to using the specific colors for specific areas of improvement I have taken close-up photos of her skin weekly so I could track the difference in her skin and I have seen this work. My wife will most likely continue using this as her daily therapy to help with her skin tone and overall skin health after her condition fully clears up.
