It's refreshing to read a book that helpschildren, parents and educators express and embrace the feelings we all have." Katie McBean, Occupational Therapist Practicing in Paediatrics  "Thank you, Colleen, for this wonderful educational book. You are covering areas that most schoolsare lacking. Kids don't get taught anywhere else how to express their own feelings or how to dealwith their friends, parents and mentors. This book is amazing! It also illustrates techniques ofmeditation and mindfulness packaged in a fun story for little kids. Fantastic educational tool fortoday's families!" Dr. Jussi Eerikäinen, International Bestselling Author, Cardiologist, Mathematician "I love Hannah and I think every child should get to know Hannah and learn from her how to express their feelings with others. Thank you Hannah."Joanna Durkin, CEO Academy of International Youth Education  Read more From the Author Happy is a great feeling. We all love it. It's wonderful to feel, and for most of us the ultimate goal of our lives. "I just want to be happy." But what does that mean? What does it look like? I don't think we're all that sure. Many of us walk around with great big smiles on our faces, even when we're feeling more like cryingor punching someone in the face. Why are we doing that??? Is it just too scary to acknowledge that we're not where we want to be? We're not as picture perfectas our profiles claim to be? We've opened up giant windows into our lives but closed off access to the inner parts of us that needto be seen the most. Do other people's lives just look so good that we plaster our hearts and paste on a perfect smile tofit in? To distract? To hide? Big smiles, positive thinking and affirmations are wonderful and work beautifully to help us createthe lives of our dreams, but not if they're slapped on top of a pile of misery and hurt, sadness and anger. We can't change what we don't acknowledge. The first step to creating a life that makes us truly happy is to acknowledge that we're currentlyNOT happy. We need to figure out the areas of our lives where we'd like to make a change, a shift. And that is scary work. Taking off the mask is terrifying. But it's the most liberating thing we can ever do - for ourselves and our families. Once we've done that, we can take steps towards a life that actually feels good, not just one thatlooks good and shiny. Happy is a great feeling. We all love it. Everyone wins when we live a life that's filled and overflowing with joy.Take a risk. Take it off. And when you see someone else peeling back the layers, lend your support. It's scary work, but it's theonly way to wake up each and every morning truly happy, with a deep smile in our soul. C xo  Read more See all Editorial Reviews

When is Happy too Happy?
Always smiling, Happy Hannah did not know any other way to be but happy. She was happy everywhere she went and everyone always talked about how she was always smiling. But then she discovers something (I won't spoil it) that gives her reason not to smile. She figures out that it is ok to be who you are NO MATTER WHAT!. This is 1 of 4 of Colleen Aynn's feeling friends and the whole series of books is a brilliant way to help children deal with all of their emotions in a constructive way. Share these books with your kids or grand kids and watch what happens when they understand their feelings.

Kudos to Colleen and all the Feeling Friends -- Keep up the AWESOME and IMPORTANT work you are doing!
5 STARS for Happy Hannah! I love what Colleen Aynn is doing with this book series and the Feeling Friends! These 'kids' are so relatable no matter if you are a kid yourself or an adult -- there's something here for all ages. I can truly, madly, deeply relate to Hannah. Hannah is (was) me and I am (was) her. I particularly loved how the author had Hannah fall down a hole (because isn't that what it takes sometimes?) to 'jar' her into feeling something different and then she could see an opportunity to share more of herself than she had been willing to share before. There are some deep and powerful messages here that will warm your heart and inspire you to let yourself be free -- free to be all of YOU!
