We tried it on thick bacon, which the instructions say may be harder to cook. But the cooking was uneven (middle got done while the ends were underdone. The grease tray overflowed on the counter (possibly due to the thick bacon), The removable parts were easy to clean, but the rest of the unit got grease everywhere and it took a long time to get it clean. Easier to cook the bacon on a rack in a sheet pan in the oven -- a whole pound can be cooked at one time rather than doing 5 or 6 strips at a time, which is not desirable when serving larger groups of people.

Just what I wanted

Cute product but it doesn’t work. Save your money and fry your bacon in the oven.
