Silky ink
Herbin inks are so smooth - even with extra fine nibs. But it’s really impressive when lighter, less saturated colours perform as well. Rose Tendresse is a very energetic, happy, light-toned but readable ink. Recommend

J Herbin 30 ml"D" Ink Bottle - Indian Orange
I usually write with a violet ink which I get from Lamy but thought I'd try this "orange Ink" from J Herbin. It's a very good ink, flows well, dries quickly, good strong orange colour and I am pleased with it. On my next order I will be ordering some additional coloured inks from J Herbin. Would recommend it.

If you want to mix your own CMYK inks this is a damn good Y.
On it's own this ink is a bit too pale a yellow to be seen on white paper - but I bought it to mix with other inks and it really excels at this.

Four stars because I'm not keen on the colour.
However, Jacques Herbin is one of my favourite brands of ink.So whilst I am not happy with the colour, I love this brand.

Lovely orange ink from France!
Lovely orange ink from France! I write a lot using old fashioned fountain pens - no I am not ill - find it therapeutic and I can type using a keyboard! The point here is that for those who love to use pen and ink this ink is a very nice colour. It 'flowed' particularly with a gold nibbed fountain pen. Well worth the cost and it arrived quickly and was well packed. Recommended.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002MOX7RA/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_18

It's hard to collect these and stop at 3 bottles- I always have the feeling I am in a sweet shop when selecting a bottle- a huge fan of pen and ink , they are hardly surpassed- if you choose white paper or antique white experiment with soft hues inca lol the brasil and this adorable myosotis blue which is an Edwardian shade and transform your mundane handwriting in to something unique all over again. Greatest quality and each lasts for years.

Nice occasional ink but wet
This is an OK ink; the colour is light but slightly mute, which makes it a great compliment to a grey 'writer' and there's a ton of shading. Unfortunately, it's also quite wet; I had lots of feathering with this ink, especially compared to my Diamine and MBs.The bottle looks nice, although it is a shallow; I can't fill my Lamy by dipping the pen and instead have to fill the converter directly. You may or may not find this an issue! One nice touch is the built-in pen holder on the front :)Overall, it's a nice occasional ink, useful for marking up, underlining, etc. Quite glad I bought a 30ml bottle and nothing larger though!

Great ink, lovely colour.
I always use J Herbin inks in my fountain pens, but I hadn't tried this colour before. It was lovely and rich, dries quick, and comes in a sturdy protective pot.

excellent ink
My first experience with Herbin inks -- I'll buy more. While the colour (Orange Indien) was a little lighter than I expected, it's no one's fault. Good ink -- I'll keep using it. Writes a touch dry, at least in my Visconti and Pilot 912, but only a little -- not a problem, but because it's a little dry with these pens the lines are just a little thin -- makes my M nibs write like an F.
