Bought but returned
This ice-maker wasn't good enough for me. The unit I got (and subsequently returned) had a bit of a smell to it. The ice was faster than my much cheaper unit, but not fast enough to warrant the price difference. And the nugget ice wasn't close enough to what I heard other machines being capable of.

Excellent
We like ice in our drinks but maintaining a good stock is always challenging. A nice maker built into the fridge freezer consumes a lot of otherwise useful space, buying bags of ice is both costly inconvenient and let’s be honest, the quality is poor with most supermarket bags of ice being frozen into one big lump. Using ice trays doesn’t really scale.Rather naïvely we only just discovered countertop icemakers are a thing. There are two types available, the more traditional bullet style cube makers and the so-called nugget ice makers, the latter being less common and more expensive. It was difficult to decide which types to go for so I brought both. After trying both out this nugget ice maker is by far the winner. The small nuggets take a bit of getting used to, and may not be perfect for all types of drink (like whiskey on the rocks) but for most family household needs it’s perfect. The way in which it constantly churns out little nuggets of ice means when entertaining or simply using a lot of ice, there is a constant supply on hand. At other times we generally make a batch of ice and store in the freezer, topping up with a new batch every few days. To avoid the nuggets freezing into one big lump simply fill a ziploc bag or two, give them an hour in the freezer and then smash the bags down on a chopping board to break up. Decant the nuggets into a Tupperware for storage. The nugget ice takes a little getting used to but is great for cooling drinks quickly, it’s also good for smoothies and can easily be poured into drinks bottles too.Overall the machine is easy to use and easy to clean. It’s not too noisy so fine in any normal kitchen, if you live in a small studio you might not want to leave it on while sleeping but then I doubt you’d have space for a countertop ice maker anyhow. I’d be happy to recommend this appliance to friends and family.
