Great figure, old chums!
Batman, Series 1 Action Figure by the Figure Toys Company was the first in this line of Classic Batman 1966 TV show figures that I planned to purchase, because you have to start with Batman, right?!Before I bought this item, I did my research. As of 2013/2014, the rights for the classic Batman TV show were finally cleared up and a new line of products from the show are being released. I always wanted action figures from this show when I watched it as a kid. After seeing what is currently being produced, from the Mattel 6" figures, to the expensive Hot Toys versions, I decided that this series of figures from Figures Toy Company was the best option. This figure line really is excellent. The Figures head is plastic, but has captured an excellent likeness to Adam West's Batman. The figures body has a good deal of ball-jointed movement, making it very poseable. The costume is made from real cloth and little rubber gloves and boots & his cape is cloth with a thin piece of wire in it allowing it to be posed too. The utility belt is rubber. The package is made in such a way that you can take the figure out without ruinning it and replace the figure to display it in package if you desired to do so.The only fault I have with this figure is that the utility belt sits too high up his waist, leaving a little grey gap between the blue tights and belt. You can remove the belt, but it's too short to get it to sit around the figures waste perfectly where it should be on the costume, without using a little celetape at the back to hold it. That is why I docked it a star. Aside from that, this is one of the best figures I've ever purchased.I plan to pick up Robin next. I'm also tempted to pick up the Batmobile from Mattel that was made for the 6" figures in the hope that it will still pass for these 8" figures.I'll review both of them when I get them. Until then, tune in next time, SAME BAT REVIEWER, SAME BAT REVIEW SITE!
