A must have item for a music teacher but not necessary for pupils as a study guide (they may wish to look at it from time to time however). This book is more than just the scores for the exam there is a two page guide before each piece telling you some of the basics ie structure and what to look out for. One of the biggest disappointments for me however is the fact that the exam board has chosen to put in some score reductions and I am sure this is due to penny pinching on getting copywrite. An example of this is you get the full score of Bach Brandenburg but only a 3 line reduction of star wars.This does give you however a good idea of what the exam board will be looking for in the exam. A must have accompaniment to this is the CD.

This is the required GCSE text for my sons course. It does seem very expensive for the size of the book
