Decent cane massager
This is my second cane style massager. The first had balls on it that were much bigger than the spikes that come on this one. The balls are much softer and work better for gentle massages, while the spikes on this one are better for trigger points. I'm not a huge fan of a single screw holding the two pieces together since it doesn't form a solid connection and there is movement between the two sides. This is annoying and makes me feel like it could break easily. My other one was one solid piece and that seems like a better design. I do still like this, but unless you know where the trigger points are, you can do more harm than good. The diagrams that come with it are pretty basic, so you have to either already know what you are doing or search for tutorials online.

I do love massage canes in general. This one is just okay.
For starters, and probably the least important point for most of you, the green color in person is pretty much the same as it looks online. I was worried that it would end up being a more obnoxious, florescent, "Hi-Vis" color, or that super cheap bright green that is often found on dollar store items. It IS bright green, but the subtlety that makes it not look like either of those 2 things I just described, makes such a difference. If it all looks the same to you, don't worry. I am just very picky and specific about colors!Alright, onto the details that actually matter:The only reason it comes in 2 pieces is for them to save on shipping. It does nothing for the user. I say this because the other cane massager I own is also 2 pieces. But that one snaps together, and you can unsnap it in seconds, which is helpful for portability. This one doesn't hold together by a snap, but by a screw. I do see now that they show and mention in many different places on the product page that it is to be screwed together. I never saw/noticed that information before, and I can't say whether or not it was there when I placed my order. I just wanted it noted here for anyone who is reading the reviews instead of the details on the item's page. They DO provide not only the screw, but also a decent little screwdriver, which was nice. But my lifestyle does not allow for me to really have a lot of bulky things, so losing the ability to quickly make this more portable is actually kind of a big deal.It feels flimsy and cheap. While my other cane has some "give" to it, it has WAY more to do with the fact that it's snapped together at the middle than it has anything to do with the strength of the material it is made from. This one may be a bit sturdier at the middle, due to the screw holding the 2 pieces together (but not even as tightly as you might imagine), but the material itself has a lot of give to it. So when I finally have the amount of pressure on it that the knot in my shoulder/trap needs, I kind of feel like I may snap the cane. Additionally, the brilliance of the cane design is supposed to allow the user to be able to get a lot of pressure without a lot of force. But due to the overall flimsiness of the material of this cane, I am actually exerting a fair amount of muscular force by the time the knot I am attempting to work out feels like it has the right amount of pressure... which is not ideal, as the very muscle I am attempting to work the knot out of also has to be activated in order to provide the cane with the force it needs! I have tried to get enough pressure using it one handed, but it just does not work well that way.I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what it reminds me of, and I THINK I finally just figured it out. It reminds me a great deal of whatever biodegradable material some companies use in place of plastic. Slightly rough, but not like painful to grip, just not smooth. I'm not sure how else to describe the material.Anyway, all of that said, I bought it at $15.99, which is a dollar cheaper than what I paid for my other one here a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure that one was the cheapest I could find back then. So I think the price point on this, at least at the time of my purchase, still makes this a cane worth considering.

Works super well as a massager
This is so nice to have. I have parts of my back that get very knotted up and this product helps to relieve that. The shape is ideal for handling without straining yourself. It’s also super easy to put together. This is a product they would make a great gift.

How did I live without this??!!
For upper back deltoid pain this is the most amazing product I have used. Had ongoing back pain from lifting over my head because I am 5'1" and everything in life is designed for 6 ft tall men. Did physical therapy, massage, self massage with a tennis ball leaning on a wall, it all helped but I still get tight alot. This tool is amazing I keep it near my desk and use it every few hours if I start to feel a little tight, I can immediately feel my back muscles relax and I don't reach the point of painfully tight. Real massage is better but i can't afford to hire a permanent masseuse to stay at my desk all day, so this is the next best thing! Its very sturdy plastic, doesn't feel like it will break easily and doesn'tbend at all even with heavy pressure. Also good for scratching back and i tied a cloth on it and used it to apply balm on my back, although that's not an official use. I use it so much I can't imagine life without it now, amazing product!
