I’m not sure I understand your question. However, it’s what I would consider to be a medium weight, rip stop, fabric. It’s very comfortable. I’m wearing mine as I type this. Be sure to measure around the naval, not the waist. I recommend it.

Q: Are you required to wear underpants with a kilt? How is it done in Scotland?

Well, lol, since I'm half scotch I wear underpants under me kilts, but even in Scotland most guys wear underpants under their kilts; even though traditionally you wear nothing! If you happen to watch the Scotch guards marching and there is a wind you can see their bare bums; so they half to stick with tradition...no underwear. At one time from what I have read they were checked by their superiors with a mirror mounted on a stick lol, So if you want to go bare bottom go ahead and hope there is no breeze lol. You will probably be asked what you have on under you kilt lol.... I just say guess and laugh.
