BT Advanced Cordless Landline House Phone with 100 Percent Nuisance Call Blocker, Digital Answering Machine, Twin Handset Pack

We recently bought this set to replace an older set of BT phones which we'd had for 6 years and which had had a LOT of use - we have poor mobile signals where we live, and our children don't have landline phones, only mobiles, so we always have to use our handsets for calling them, and them to us. This puts a lot of strain on the batteries, as our daughters can be on the phone for 1-2 hours at a time.The main handset battery finally gave up, lasting only a few minutes before the low charge warning went off, so we looked at what was available and felt that this new more modern set but similar to our old ones in functional menus would be ideal.The new sets are smart, a little more modern in style, and slightly slippery at first due to the smooth surfaces, but everything else is great so far. The call blocking works well (we are with Sky, not BT), and once you have all your numbers in the phone memory (up to 200 separate names, with 2 numbers for each name, plenty for us), then your own contacts can get through immediately, but numbers not in your phonebook have to announce who they are, and if they don't you can reject the call and block them. If they do say who they are, then you can choose to take the call (press 1) and also to allow their calls through in future.Earlys days with this new set, but so far we are very happy with them. Tip: if you have two sets, like we do, it makes sense to interchange them from time to time, so that no one set gets all the battery wear. So, we have one in the lounge, and one in the bedroom, but we are swapping them every week or two to spread the battery load, since the lounge set gets by far the most use!

Easy set up manually or using set-up wizard. Data transfers to 2nd hand set automatically. Plenty of features and choices on volume, call settings, call blocking and answer phone etc. Comes with a printed handbook, really useful. Feels somewhat unstable when charging on the base, but overall a good choice.

This is my second set of this telephone. First one lasted 5 years. Batteries were running out quickly. Bought and tried new batteries but that didn't solve problem. Other than at the end of use the phone gave me no problems. It is easy to set up and the call screening and blocking means no more cold calls to worry about. No scammers trying to call me saying they are Amazon etc...

These were bought to replace a long-lived predecessor BT set which, sadly, allowed no access to the rechargeable batteries which had lost their ability to retain charge. The set bought offered the best like-for-like fit in terms of features and functionality but the predecessors were aesthetically more pleasing. The 100% call blocking of incoming numbers not entered in the Phone Book was important and the feature is fully effective - nuisance calls remain a thing of the past. But on the downside the main base unit (effectively the "Answerphone") is very flimsy and, with a handset in place, is top heavy and unstable. The slightest knock will see it topple. But at least the batteries in the handsets can be easily accessed and replaced with new if needed. The setting-up process was easy but sadly there was no way of transferring the Phone Book entries from the old kit to the new. Not a major issue but irksome. As with many replacement purchases you notice the loss of build quality and poorer design but overall I think what I got was fine for the money paid.

This system functions as described, and has more features than I really need. I haven't tried the call blocking feature as yet. I am particularly pleased with the directory and the call history feature. Once contact details are entered they are available on all handsets, any changes/edits made on any handset are noted on all. I guess the data is logged on the base station and then called up by any handset as required, this does result in a small spooling delay ad data is recalled, but this is a small price to pay for the convenience. Similarly, the call made/received log is similarly stored. I do get a faint buzz/hum on my system, I have had my service provider check my line and they assure me all is well. It is not obtrusive but it is there.

This is a replacement for the earlier model. It is smaller and so are the keys. Wonder if there is a better way to transfer contacts otherthan boringly time consuming manually. Having now done so I'll bet someone says there is.! Easy to set up and additions to one are transferred to others. Mine is a 4 set.

Sincere apologies to the seller, my original review was poor because I did not focus on the manual and misjudged the device. The phone is EXCELLENT and works exactly as expected. We are using it in Greece and it is compatible with OTE. Perfect for blocking advertising calls especially with the CUSTOM feature. Highlly recommended device.

El teléfono cumple su función de bloquear llamadas, pero considero que tiene dos problemas importantes:- No se puede cambiar el idioma de configuración. Solo admite el inglés. Hoy en día eso ya es arcaico!!!- Cuando bloquea las llamadas emite un mensaje de aviso... en inglés... que no se puede cambiar ni eliminar.MUY Mejorable!!!!!!

Muy decepcionada, devuelto el producto. Los enchufes de luz y de la conexión a la red de teléfono no son sistema europeo, son conexiones o inglesas o americana. Imposible enchufar lo teléfonos. Pero felicitaciones a Amazon 1 día después el dinero estuvo en mi cuenta.

No pone que el enchufe es americano y no se puede poner en español
