Quiet & Cute
After hip decompression surgery in June, I had some complications resulting in the need for support when walking. I had progressed from a walker to a 4 prong cane, when my physical therapist suggested I use a regular cane. I tried a number of canes before finding this one on Amazon, and I'm glad I found it. Others I tried, which were adjustable, clicked when walking, creating a tapping sound that was more than annoying. I wasn't sure this would be any different, especially since it can be folded. Wouldn't that make it more noisy? Actually no - the cane makes no annoying sound and it quite sturdy. Plus, regular canes gave an "old-lady" appearance. This one is cute. It comes in a variety of colors, so I got the teal one, as that is my favorite color. If you are looking for a stylish, yet serviceable, cane, order one of these. You won't be sorry.

This model has the better handle (no finger groves)
Couldn't decide, so I purchased two Charming Canes, one with the smooth handle like this one, and the other with the finger groove handle ...and the winner is this one for two reasons. One, it adjusts an inch higher just because of the handle tilt. I'm 5'9" tall, and I prefer the longest adjustment. Two, this handle feels a bit more natural. I like the palm bump on the top. My other is the moss paisley color, and I think they are equally beautiful. I won't feel so self conscious taking either of these to church. I will still use my hickory walking stick for hiking, but these canes will save me going up inclines or stairs in the house especially.

This is NOT an old lady cane!
Love this cane on day 1 ! It arrived today, and I was very hopeful. I am having a hip replacement in June. I am too young for this procedure, but Osteoarthritis does not discriminate. At the urging of my hubby, I decided to use a cane until my surgery to protect the rest of my joints from "compensation stress" when I am walking. There is NO Way I would use an old lady cane. This is a perfect young fun cane! I also added a tripod foot on the bottom so it can stand independently beside me at work; ready to be used when I need it. I have the animal zoo print.. It oozes cuteness!UPDATE: Three months later... Still love this cane. I have used it after surgery during my recovery and it delivers! As I get stronger, my doctor and PT say I can lose the cane... that day has come, and I am a little sad to see it go. Best cane purchase ever.

Function with Style
This is my first cane ever, as I've never really needed one before. I'm twenty-two and have pretty severe chronic pain that's been getting progressively worse, primarily in my back and right hip. When I was told that getting a cane might help me manage my pain, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find something easy to travel with, comfortable, and stylish; thankfully, this cane meets all the requirements.Since I only use it when my pain is really bad, I love that it folds up so I can carry it in my bag in case I end up needing it when I'm out and about instead of having to bring a full sized cane everywhere. The handle is a wonderful shape and size, and it's not uncomfortable to hold for long stretches of time. The floral design isn't gaudy (as some other ones I looked at were), and I've already gotten compliments on how nice it looks.I use it mostly when I'm out and about for long periods of time (a few hours or more) or if my hip pain is especially bad all day. I also plan on using it at a concert I'm going to as well (it's standing room only), and I'm hoping it'll make the experience more enjoyable!!

but it seems sturdy. unfolded and folded easily
I haven't used it yet, but it seems sturdy. unfolded and folded easily, and is attractive. My friend and I are traveling to Italy, and she wants one too, so I ordered her a different color. I always go by customer reviews and have been looking for a travel cane for months. This is a very good price for that purpose, seems lightweight enough for travel, has a wrist strap and carry bag. Hopefully, it will survive the trip, but we don't rely on canes, but want the added security on cobblestones and unfamiliar terrain.

A MOST SATISFACTORY PURCHASE
I kept losing my wooden and metal canes. I would put them in the shopping cart and leave them behind because they just blended in with the cart and I didn't need the cane to get from the cart into the car. This cane does the trick because of its bright colors, but besides that it is an amazingly comfortable cane, a pleasure to use (if you must use a cane). The handle feels great, firm but soft, and fits my hand perfectly, even though my hand is small and arthritic. The material of the handle is non-slip so it is easy to grip, feels secure. The metal is heavier than other metal canes I've had, giving a secure feel. The only negative was that the cane was not adjustable to my 5' height and short arms and legs. My husband had to saw off about 3" to make it fit as it should. I agree with another reviewer that it does not easily hook onto a ledge of any kind. I usually have to lay it down flat. If the manufacturer could add a feature that makes it easy to hang on the edge of a table, back of a chair, etc., it would be perfect.

Lovely but not for SHORT people
This is indeed a 'Charming Cane' if you are TALLER than 5 feet 4 inches. I am returning it because it doesn't adjust to shorter people. The description does say "Height is adjustable from 33" to 37" in 1-inch increments and safely supports up to 250 pounds."Despite what I think is a confusing description, it is actually for people TALLER than 5 feet 5 inches and it is too tall for me. (I am 5'3"). So, despite its charms, I am returning it.Charming Canes Adjustable Folding Walking Cane with Carrying Case (Teal Dots)
