These tags are heavy duty enough to last and just thin enough to emboss the name using a ball point pen. I placed the aluminum name plate on a soft surface over my worktable. With firm pressure, I had no problem leaving a lasting impression in the aluminum. The size of the tag is adequate for even lengthy descriptions. I could easily fit a two-line name, when needed. These will last indefinitely. The aluminum wire is easy to bend without tools and a good length to secure the tag. I am very pleased with these.

Although these look like the kind of labels you can write on with indentations from your ballpoint pen, they definitely do not indent. If I can send them back, I will. Meanwhile, I’ve ordered the ones I know will Indent.

I use these to mark plants in my garden and the tags work well for that. But the wires that come with the tags are poorly galvanized steel that start to rust within a month of being out in the weather. I've switched over to using insulated copper wires like the kind inside communications cables and those have worked very well for tying these tags to the plants.

I just received these today to use for my work. I need durable tags that won't fade or become weak in the sun. I got these thinking they would be perfect except 2 problem's. If you plan on leaving an imprint, what kind of tool or pen works? So far, nothing I've tried leaves a clear readable impression. Number 2 problem, if you plan on using both sides like I did, that would only work with something like a permanent marker which leaves no indent. ARTLINE Garden Marker's may be the answer. They have a high rating for UV resistance.These thing's are too hard to leave an impression on. THANKFULLY this seller is working with me to correct the problem, so I upped my over all rating by 3 star's.A pen just leaves an almost invisible light scratch mark that can't be seen with the naked eye, except in correct lighting.Why isn't the product softer aluminum, and why aren't they 2 sided as advertised, according to your product photo's?
