Just what I was looking for. The best discus book with a lot of very good pictures and written not for the person that decided to have a discus, but for the ones that want to have hundreds of them and keep them healthy with a lot of love and work and the knowledge inside this book. Thanks to the author and to the used book seller. It will be nice it it were available in eBook. Only complain is that it weights a lot because they used a very good and heavy paper and hundreds of pages.

I'm checking this book, have very good contents, very good book for anybody that have discus fish. I know that i'll enjoy this book.

Comprehensive coverage of diseases for cichlids. The book was in great condition. Good pictures to recognise each disease and what to do to fix each problem.

Only for professional. high intensity, mass fish breeding establishments. No use to the average or even the expert fish keeper. Great for diseases and parasites, but little to nothing on selection, care and diet of Discus fish

This book was obviousely written by an expert but it is really not useful as an everyday guide to keeping Discus healthly. There is a multitude of info on parasites, diseases, diagnosing with the use of a microscope. Huh? How many people in the aquarium hobby dissect their fish or own a microscope? The biggest oversight in this book is the lack of any quick diagnostic charts or clues of where to look for certain symptoms and what they mean. Even reading the book cover to cover did not answer all the questions that come up when a fish is sick. Descriptions of behaviors that indicate illness are buried in paragraphs or missing altogether. Discus Forum online is a much better resourse.

I purchase this book on the basis of many good reviews I read concerning the detailed information it has on keeping and maintaining healthy Discus. It's lived up to those reviews and I keep it around for good reference material.

Really good book for discus fans or those that are thinking of starting up.
