Does it scrub the pool well enough to consider it instead of cheaper version that only vacuums? Does the parts need replacement often? Stuck often?

Do you leave it connected all the time the filter is running, or just put it in for periodic cleanings?

I leave it in, of course except when people are swimming. But when I insert the regular skimmer, the MX8 is still in the water just sitting still.
