This moves amazing in the water- looks to be amazing fishing. Just one small glitch and that’s because the tale is changeable it literally just comes out- when casting! So I’ve glued mine not wanting to change it until a pike takes it off other than that great little rat very lifelike!

Good action. Well made and casts well. Not had any takes yet but only used it on one stretch of river. Looking to try in a more urban setting down the canal Will update on progress.

Fantastic price. Lure looks great in the water used it 3 times and its caught on two occasions can't ask for more. Both over 9lbs. Great take on it too.

Every Pike angler should have one of these..... great fun and I have hooked more fish on this than any other lure - ever - exciting sport because you see the fish leave the water to hit the rat at pace.Better in River and Canals over lakes in my experienceI always pinch down the barbs on my hooks so I would say that I only land 50% of fish hooked..... my brother leaves his barbs on and says that he doesn't use this lure too often as it is too difficult to get out of small fish under 5 pound.

My first outing with this lure on the Middlesex Colne netted a 6lb Pike on the first cast, followed closely by a 3lb Chubb, another 3lb Brown trout, a 2lb perch, two more Chubb and a 8 lb Pike. Doesn't do as well as the big Rat on larger rivers and open waters but deadly in streams and small rivers!

Ordered this lure purely for the fact it is fitted with a pair of treble hooks. The smaller version that someone bought for me only has 1 treble fitted. Both size lures are quality products and seem well made. They cast very well and swim very well. Please note that the larger version is quite heavy and does need a strong rod and line and very careful casting. I have a range of Savage Gear lures now, and they definitely work!!
