I’m a rancher in South Texas and occasionally need to pick up a knife or two for my work hands to use. Yes, they can often buy their own, but sometimes ya just gotta help em out to get started. Besides, most folks don’t know what a bull cutter is or what it’s used for until they been on the job for a bit. Anyway, this is a pretty fair knife for the price. It has a good handle and a sharp edge. The sheath is nothin special and I replace them right away with a good crossdraw custom made sheath I make for the work hands. They aren’t a bad design, just need a little tweaking and heavier weight leather for actual ranch use. I usually chuck the sheath in the garbage and make a custom one as soon as the knife arrives, that will make the knife more usable when the work hand is down in the kick zone. If ya just like the way it looks, it’ll probably help you “look” like a real cowboy just the way it is. If ya really need to use it for its intended purpose, you might want to find you a good leather smith and have a custom sheath made for it. Good quality knife that holds a decent edge.
