Perfect Blue [DVD]

I remember buying this on vhs when I was a teenager from MVC, I was underage so had to get my sister to buy it for me.Back then it cost about £20, but it was well worth it.I was just getting into anime, but it was so different to others that I had seen, this was like a real film.I am now the proud owner of the bluray version, and have since told people that it is a must see.Their comments back is, it looks like cartoon porn, and then they have it it text mind not to watch it.Yes it has a small amount of nudity and other adult themes, but if this was a film with actors people wouldn't batter an eye lid at it.People need to watch this for the art it is, it is such a fantastic film that personally wouldn't work as a feature film.

Perfect Blue is a classic psychological thriller, just like Alfred Hitchock's thrillers of the past. The story is easy to follow, it does have some gore and violence, including an infamous stabbing scene, a mock rape scene and nude shots of our main character. The animation still looks great 20 years after it was released, and I really liked the twist at the end. Overall a classic anime film.

I simply adore this film.The plot is very easy to follow despite its cerebral nature.The computer scene is a little humorous these days ( a 20-year-old needing help to set up dial-up internet and learn to email is definitely a 90s thing) but that's the ONLY bad thing I can say about the film

Good story, prety subtle in its way of expresing the characters.But its a must.

This is a must for every anime fan, sadly not avaiable in italy for a long time.4 stars only for the italian audience because it does not have italian subtitle, but the overall quality in quite good.

One of My Favourite films of all time animated or otherwise by The late Great Satoshi Kon. Brilliantly animated psychological thriller.Very Dark but Highly entertaining, A True Classic!

This dvd CANNOT be played in England which the reviews stated it could. Extremely overpriced am for £90 it should not take a month to get here. Very disappointed.

Great anime

Eine schöne Story. Es gab da Szenen wo ich dachte "was ist das denn jetzt wie kommt das?' Aber alles toll. Danach brauchte ich aber eine Kopfschmerz Tablette.Aber den schaue ich mir mit meinen Leuten noch an.

Prodotto arrivato entro i tempi previsti ed in ottime condizioni. Consiglio (probabilmente noto) a tutti gli amanti dell'animazione che abbiano voglia di godersi un buon thriller in una cornice inusuale come l'anime.
