These powdered turrón bars are made in the Jijona style, which along with Alicante is one of Spain's most distinctive and sought-after. This is a creamy turrón bar with honey and almonds, crafted the way it has been fro generations. It's made with Romero and Azahar honey, sugar and egg white, and whole roast almonds. Just before it's finished being made, powdered almonds are added. The result is delicious: creamy, chewy and full of flavor. In Spanish, this product is called, "Turrón de Jijona Granulado Turrones Primitivo."

Delicious & excellent value
This is perhaps the most delicious Turrón I have ever tasted and I would highly recommend it, as well as buy it again and again. Those unfamiliar with this splendid treat might read that is compared to nougat, but I think it is most like a delicate crumbling fudge. In comparison to the many other tasty soft Turrón's I have enjoyed eating in the past this one is not overly sweet and more crumbling in texture than chewy, without big hard almond bits to get stuck in your teeth. Hopefully it will be available throughout the year, as I would enjoy it anytime not just at Christmas which is the traditional time to eat it.
